However, for those substances covered by REACH, such as monomers, Plaskolite has completed the process of REACH registration or confirmed their registration by our suppliers, where applicable. Plaskolite’s acrylic sheet products, including acrylic mirror sheets, are “articles” according to Article 3(3) of REACH. In addition, we have determined that the substances used to make our acrylic sheet products are exempt from REACH registration because they will NOT be released “from the produced or imported article(s) during normal and reasonable foreseeable conditions of use (Article 7(1)).” Plaskolite’s acrylic resin pellets, however, require REACH registration for some of their substances, and we have completed the REACH registration for these affected substances or confirmed their registration by our suppliers. In support of our REACH registration, we have also designated an “Only Representative” (OR) for Plaskolite under REACH. Finally, Plaskolite certifies, based upon knowledge of our ingredients and manufacturing processes, that our acrylic products (resin pellets and sheets) DO NOT contain the chemicals identified on the most current list of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) by the European Chemical Agency (ECHA) Member State Committee. We hope that this information is useful to you, and provides clarity on Plaskolite’s compliance with REACH. Please contact us at (614) 294-3281 if you have any questions related to this matter.
