Thank you for supporting Saint Pats!

Friends,

A warm welcome to this year’s Saint Patrick Catholic School’s REACH Auction. It is fitting

that we are here on St. Patrick’s Day, celebrating 125 years of Love, Loyalty, and Friend-

ship. This theme captures the long history of Saint Pats. These communal gifts have

been the cornerstone, our foundation; they have been the fruits of the generosity of every

generation that has been part of our 125-year story.

“Friendship is not a reward for our discriminating good taste in finding one another.

Friendship is the instrument by which God reveals to each of us the beauties of others,”

wrote the famous Irish writer, C.S. Lewis. This kind of friendship, this particular kind of

love, has enabled Saint Pats to endure as a unique and vibrant school community. For

125 years, God has always provided, and perhaps in no greater way than to give us loyal

friends who journey with us.

There is an Irish proverb that I particularly like that says, “Your feet will bring you where

your heart is.”

Tonight, our heart is here in this gym--a simple place transformed into a celebration. It is

our time: a time to sing, laugh, dance, and to be generous. Our celebration tonight joins

our joy with the joy of the many who belong to Saint Pats’ history. Our generosity tonight

not only confirms our faith in Saint Pats to educate our children today, but allows the

love, loyalty, and friendship of this school to be gifts for families for another 125 years.

A special thanks for the friendship of Loren and Shea Cochran, our Chairs and Title

Sponsors. They join past REACH Chairs in giving their time and talent, risking that their

human efforts may not be enough to “reach” our ambitious goals. But God provides, and

they are joined by so many talented volunteers and by all of us, guaranteeing tonight will

be nothing short of a wonderful St. Paddy’s Day celebration.

We Are Saint Pats, and we ask our patron saint on this day—his feast day--to Pray For

Us!

Chris

Depart Killarney for your drive to back to Dublin (approximately four hours) where you will enjoy a 3-course dinner (excluding beverages) and an overnight stay in the beautiful Clontarf Castle Hotel (4-star).Originally built in 1172 as part of an inner circle of defense sites protecting Dublin during battles, the Castle was opened in 1998 as a 4-star hotel and has undergone a 10 million Euro upgrade and renovation. Located just 10 minutes from the heart of Dublin’s city center and 5 miles from Dublin Airport, the Clontarf Castle Hotel is an oasis, tucked away in a tranquil setting, surrounded by fabulous golf courses and the sounds of lapping waters from the Irish Sea.

Day 7Enjoy a full Irish breakfast at Clontarf Castle. Check out of the hotel and drive to nearby Dublin Airport where you will return the rental car and say farewell to Ireland.Note: The listed properties are subject to availability, comparable alternatives may be booked.

#918 VIP ParkingImagine a relaxed oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of morning drop off. This is what our exclusive parking area at Saint Patrick Catholic School can offer the busy, on-the-run family. For the next school year, there will be one reserved private parking spot for your family. Directly in front of the school’s lower entrance, you will enjoy the ease of VIP parking at drop-off and pick-up. It has not been scientifically proven that winners of this item show far less stress and relationships with their loved ones, but...we bet they do.

Thank you Principal Chris Gavin & Vice-Principal Barbara Bolanos

Fund An Item

Dear Friends of Saint Pats,

Fund an item is pure gift. It is our opportunity to give to something that makes an immediate impact on the life of the school. This year, we are asking for your generosity for programs that enrich the lives of our students. It fits perfectly with our auction theme of love, loyalty and friendship.

We know from our own experience that when we are open to new opportunities something magical happens; we find our passions. Your gift helps expand our STEM program where kids explore the physical world of engineering, robotics, and our planet. Through these programs our kids fall in love with ideas, building, solving real life problems. These kids will be our doctors, coders, engineers, dreamers for things we don’t yet know.

Athletics and sports can have a profound effect on our sense of belonging. In the spirit of CYO, our athletic program builds unity, teamwork, self-discipline and a loyalty to something bigger than just ourselves. Athletics done right, brings a joy that is hard to duplicate in any other experience. It is that spirit of loyalty that has our student athletes proudly wearing our shamrock green and shouting, “Saint Patrick, pray for us.”

Since I have been at Saint Pats, there is not a day that I walk the halls where I don’t rejoice in the art that is created by our kids. To walk in the Art Room is to walk in an incubator of ideas, imagination and pure joy. When I listen to our choir and band and see them interact, it is like the best of friends have found each other. These are our future writers, directors, artists who touch our souls.

Our fund an item will reach every single student in our school. It builds on programs that help our kids develop God-given talents and find new passions. Your generosity will continue in the legacy of this school where friends are friends for a lifetime.

On behalf of our students, coaches and teachers, thank you.

Chris
