ATRA> Page 1 of 2 Transmission: Subject: Application: Issue Date: RE5R05A Band Adjustment Nissan, Infinity August, 2008 RE5R05A Band Adjustment Adjusting the band is pretty straightforward: • Use a brake band clip or equivalent to make sure the band contacts the shell assembly. • Loosen the anchor locknut and tighten the anchor end pin to 50 in. lbs. for early models (2003-2005) and 44 in-lbs for late models (2006-up) • Mark the anchor pin with a marker. • Back off the anchor end pin exactly 2 1/2 turns for early models (2003-2005) and 3 turns for late models (2006-up) • Hold the pin in place and tighten the locknut. This will be your last and only chance to adjust the band with ease, once the transmission is in the vehicle, it’s a very tight fit, providing almost no access to the band anchor. Install the servo assembly

    Make sure the servo rod and anchor pin is touching the band supports

    Tighten the anchor end pin to 50 in. lbs. for early models (2003-2005) and 44 in-lbs for late models (2006-up)

    Back off the anchor end pin exactly 2 1/2 turns for early models and 3 turns for late models. Hold the pin in place and tighten the locknut.
