RCIA for Children and Teens PLEASE READ CAREFULLY / LEA CON CUIDADO * A Godparent is a confirmed Catholic (not a spouse or boy/girlfriend), who would strongly support you in completing this process and accompany you to ceremonies and some sessions. It is possible to have an out-of-town official Godparent but you should have a proxy here who will fulfill all of the above. *Un padrino es un católico confirmado (no un cónyuge o niño/novia), que sería fuertemente apoyo para completar este proceso y acompañará a algunas sesiones y ceremonias. Si es posible tener un padrino oficial fuera de la ciudad, pero debería Ud. tener aquí un proxy que cumplirá con todo lo anterior.

REQUIREMENTS FOR JOURNEY OF FAITH 1. Child has to have the desire to receive Baptism, First Eucharist and/or Reconciliation, and

Confirmation.

2. Attend CCE Classes on Tuesday or Wednesday (depending on grade) faithfully, and attend RCIA classes every Sunday from 11:00 – 12:15p.m. . Only 3 Excused absences are allowed provided the work is made up and reviewed and checked by a team facilitator.

3. All Catechumens (un- baptize) must attend Mass on Sunday and participate in the “Liturgy of the Word”

in the Hall.

4. Submit the required documents: *a birth certificate

5. Read and study the handout assigned and participate in a service project in the area of your choice.

6. ALL 2ND YEAR STUDENTS AND PARENTS ATTEND ORIENTATION and MEETINGS during the year.

REQUISITOS PARA CAMINO DE FE 1. Niño tiene que tener el deseo de recibir el bautismo, primera comunión y reconciliación y Confirmación.

2. Asistir a clases de CCE los Martes o los Miércoles (depende el grado) fielmente, y asistir todos los

domingos de 11:00 – 12:30 a clases de RICA. Sólo 3 ausencias están permitidas siempre y cuando el trabajo se haga y sea revisada y aprobada por un facilitador del equipo.

3. Todo catecúmeno (no- bautizo) debe asistir a misa el domingo y participar en la “Liturgia de la palabra”

en el salón.

4. Presentar los documentos requeridos: * un certificado de nacimiento

5. Leer y estudiar la actividad asignada y participar en un proyecto de servicio o ayudar a servir en el área

de su elección.

6. TODOS LOS PADRES DE ALUMNOS DE 2 º AÑO ASISTIR A LAS ORIENTACIÓNES DE PADRES Y REUNIONES DURANTE EL AÑO.

Camino De Fe “Camino de Fe” es un proceso que te dará la oportunidad de crecer en una profunda relación con Dios, la instrucción doctrinal es parte del proceso. Las personas interesadas pueden ser miembros de la Iglesia Católica por medio de los sacramentos de iniciación. Otros tienen la oportunidad para adquirí conocimiento y información mientras que forman una relación con una comunidad de Fe. ¿Esta UD interesado en aprender más acerca de la Iglesia Católica? ¿UD. esta bautizado/a pero reconoce una necesidad espiritual en su vida? ¿Esta UD. Bautizado /a en la Iglesia Católica o en otra religión, pero necesita recibir una

educación formal religiosa? ¿Esta UD. casado/a por la iglesia católica asiste a Misa, pero no sabe cual es el siguiente

paso para convertirte en uno de los fieles católicos. ¿Tiene UD. un gran deseo de algo mas en su vida?

Journey of Faith "Journey of Faith" is a process that will provide you with an opportunity to grow in a deeper relationship with God while doctrinal instruction is part of the process. Those interested persons can gradually become members of the Catholic Church through the sacraments of Initiation. Others an opportunity for acquiring knowledge and information while entering in a relationship with a community of faith.

Are you interested in learning more about the Catholic Church? Are you unbaptized but recognize a need for spirituality in your life? Are you baptized Catholic or baptized into another religion but never received any

form religious education? Are you married to a Catholic and attend Mass but just don't know what the next step

"Journey of Faith” is the place for you. Every Adult is welcome. It is a learning and loving process in which conversion of the heart brings you closer to Jesus Christ who is our Lord and Savior.

For an adult (post high school age) wishing to become a Catholic, or for a Catholic wishing to be confirmed, or to receive First Eucharist and/or Reconciliation, or a Catholic wishing to strengthen his/her knowledge of the Catholic Church. 2. Attend class every Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Excused absences are allowed provided the work is made up and reviewed and checked by a team facilitator. 3(a) For the Pre catechumen and Catechumens ( un- Baptized) attend Mass on Sunday and participate in the Dismissal for the Liturgy of the Word in the Hall. Or 3(b) For the Candidate (Baptized) attend Mass on Saturday or Sunday and participate in a Spiritual faith sharing group of their choice. 4. Submit the required documents: *baptismal certificate for baptized non-Catholics who want to become Catholic or for Catholic who wish to be confirm or receive Eucharist for the first time, *a birth certificate is required from those who are not baptized. 5. Read and study the handout assigned from Journey of Faith and read the Gospels as scheduled. 6. Participate in a service project, or help or serve in the area of your choice.

REQUISITOS PARA CAMINO DE FE 1. Para un adulto (post secundaria edad) que desea ser católico o para un católico que desea ser confirmado, o para recibir la primera comunión o reconciliación, o un católico que desea fortalecer su conocimiento de la Iglesia Católica. 2. Asistir a clase cada jueves de 6:00p.m. a 8:00p.m., las ausencias justificadas son autorizadas, siempre que el trabajo es formado y revisado y comprobado por un facilitador del equipo. 3. Para el Pre catecumenado y catecúmeno (sin bautismo) asistir a Misa el domingo y participan en el despido de la liturgia de la palabra en el salón. O para el candidato (ya bautizado/a) asistir a Misa el sábado o el domingo y participar en un grupo de intercambio de fe espiritual de su elección. 4. Presentar la documentación requerida: certificado de bautismo para los bautizados no católicos que quieren ser católicos o para católicos que desean ser confirmados o recibir Eucaristía por primera vez. 5. Leer y estudiar el documento asignado de Camino de fe y leer los evangelios como estaba previsto. 6. Participar en un proyecto de servicio o ayudar a servir en el área de su elección.
