APPLIED LEARNING SCENARIO:

You have been commissioned to learn and develop an international group dance in a Bollywood dance style. You will perform for a paying audience at The Ravensbourne School’s Annual dance show. This opportunity will allow you to learn the basic skills in traditional Indian dance (Kathak) that will be developed to demonstrate the key features of Bollywood. During the classes you will acquire appropriate technical skills dependent on the key features of this style. You will learn to consider the kind of movement typical to this genre and how this movement is patterned in time and space in order to produce a distinctive style.
