Helpful Hints for Placing Your Announcement* A full body shot photo will not fit in a 2 columns x 3”, but will look better in a 1 column x 3”, 2 columns x 4”, 2 columns x 5” or 2 columns x 6”. Likewise, a headshot photo will fit in a 2 columns x 3”. Also note that when choosing a photo, contrasting bright colors print better on newsprint, even if the photo is printed black and white. (1 column = 1.5509in and 2 columns = 3.2407in)
* When writing your announcement, you can take inspiration from previously published announcements which can be found at www.wacotrib.com
* To download or view “Celebrations” packet: Go to wacotrib.com, under the Entertainment tab on the Navigation bar, click Weddings/Anniversaries and scroll down to the red box and click on ‘How to submit an announcement.’
* If you choose to email your announcement, please include your name, address, and daytime telephone number where you can be reached. Photographers are also welcome to submit photos via email.
* Our deadline is 10:30 a.m. the Tuesday prior to the Sunday you wish to publish. Any announcements submitted after deadline will not publish until the next publication date.
* We encourage you to proofread your announcement more than once before it runs. If possible, when not emailing, bring your photo and information on a CD or thumb drive to insure correct spelling.
* Payment for emailed announcements may be made by credit or debit card. We accept Visa, Discover, and American Express. Please Call 254-757-6900 with Credit Card Info - DO NOT EMAIL. If you prefer to pay with cash or check, payments must be made in person during business hours.
* Our office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
