What is Project RapidStart?Project RapidStart is a program offered to Capgemini engagement teams which quickly gets the team on the same page by leveling the teams knowledgebase of the client, engagement, and Capgemini methods, tools and approaches. It establishes project strategies, procedures and standards to be discussed with the client. Finally, the program utilizes Americas Subject Matter Specialists in the development of project processes, key project strategies, tools and configuration requirements.
What are some of the benefits of using Project RapidStart? Provides an opportunity to push consistency in program start-up activities through people, technology, templates, methodology, and processes Integrates consultant learning throughout the engagement lifecycle Provides an easy access, ready-to-use toolkit that prepares a team quickly for an engagement across its lifecycle, while providing live assistance from the Delivery Management group as needed Creates BOTH a Capgemini and client project team that is knowledgeable and prepared to execute the project in an effective and efficient manner This collaboration creates a win-win between Capgemini and the valued client.
When Should I Use Project RapidStart? Projects with at least $1 million in revenues and/or
Projects undergoing a deal review.
At the very beginning of a engagement or
At the beginning of subsequent phases of a project After Contract and Statement of Work have been signed (or currently underway)
What are the components of the Project RapidStart Framework?Project RapidStart moves the engagement team rapidly and effectively through the start-up time period of the engagement or new phase of an engagement.
Two Primary Stages of Project RapidStart are as follows:
First stage is conducted at a Capgemini site and includes the Capgemini project team only.
Second stage is conducted at the client site and includes the Capgemini project team and client project management team.
Each group receives training, conducts workshops, and prepares deliverables.There are 13 events within the Project RapidStart Framework relating to the Capgemini project team and 11 events within the Project RapidStart Framework relating to the Full Team (i.e., the Capgemini team and the client PM team).
Its important to note that if any of the phases do not apply to your engagement, the Framework can be utilized as a cafeteria plan, whereby the team can pick and choose the events based on the projects needs.
What types of deliverables result from a Project RapidStart engagement?There are numerous deliverables which come out of the Project RapidStart framework. Some representative examples include (but are not limited to)
