Hi there, and welcome! Congratula�ons on taking the first step and choosing YOU! We would like to introduce you to a new way of thinking about food and how to shed those extra kilograms and keep it off for good.

There is no quick fix for any of life’s challenges, especially weight management. Keep in mind; we are not presen�ng another diet. This is a scien�fic approach to weight management that has helped thousands of people locally and interna�onally. A new way of thinking requires knowledge, understanding and prac�ce. The key ingredient in our formula�ons is called HCG also known as Human Chorionic Gonadotropin. This is a naturally occurring hormone and it encourages your body to metabolise abnormal fat through the kidneys 4 �mes faster than with normal die�ng alone. It supports the hypothalamus to reset your whole system, encouraging a normal appe�te and thus fostering healthy ea�ng habits. Lep�n is a substance produced by fa�y �ssue that gives feedback to the brain concerning your “fat status”. If Lep�n levels are high and the brain is sensi�ve to Lep�n, then the body gets the message that the fat stores are full and that we should stop ea�ng. It also signals to the body to increase Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) i.e. it puts the body in “burn” mode. Many of us are Lep�n resistant and also

insulin resistant. This means that we are in “store” mode and tend to gain weight rather than lose, regardless of what we eat. The prepara�on that you are taking boosts the body’s sensi�vity to both Lep�n and Insulin, helping to increase BMR, burn fat and increase sa�ety. In short, one will lose weight up to 4 �mes faster by using this daily.

HOW IT WORKS

BEFORE YOU START

You should be on protocol for a minimum of 23 days in order to reset the hypo-thalamus gland. You may stay on the protocol uninterruptedly for up to 6 months. You then take a 2-4 week break and follow the stabilisa�on phase before restar�ng. Once your goal has been reached, you will con�nue on the protocol

for 3 days without the product. A�er the 3 days, you will start the stabilisa�on phase. This is just as important as the actual diet as it will ensure that you don’t pick up weight again. During the stabilisa�on phase you will slowly reintroduce banned foods back into your diet and work up to a normal calorie range.

• Please ensure that you s�ck to the ea�ng plan & the por�ons indicated.• You may eat 3 por�ons of fruit per day. One must be an apple.• There is a restric�on on the amounts of protein you may consume but you

can have unlimited amounts of vegetables/salad & you must have all 3 protein por�ons per day.

• Red meat limited to a maximum of twice per week.• If it’s not on the allowed list, you may not have it.• Snacks are op�onal and can be incorporated into meals.• For dessert you may also have zero calorie jelly in unlimited amounts. Combine it

with your fruit por�ons for delicious fruit salad and jelly to curb that sweet tooth.• One should eat regularly to lose weight. Skipping meals is considered chea�ng.• It is vital to take a before picture and to measure yourself, this will mo�vate you.• Two main meals per day may be replaced by a protein shake. We recommend a

weight control protein shake, which you can purchase directly from us. However, any protein shake may be used if it has between 150-200 calories per serving and can be mixed with water.

• Leave more than 4 hours between main meals (snacks not included), with no meals a�er 8 pm.

• No fat, oil, coconut milk, almond milk, regular milk or alcohol for the dura�on of the diet (not even low fat or no fat milk as it spikes your insulin levels).

• Spray and cook, Coconut Oil and sweetener may be used.• Should you struggle with your appe�te you simply increase your dosage. We also

stock an appe�te suppressant, should you feel it is necessary.• We recommend using A. Vogel – St. John’s Tissue Oil combined with Bio Oil whilst

on the protocol as it can help skin remain supple & retain its elas�city which allows the skin to stretch or �ghten naturally & prevents stretch marks. It can also be used daily on the face & body especially a�er bathing or swimming. Excellent for damaged hair & cracked heels. The ingredients found in this �ssue oil also gives one a sense of euphoria which can help you s�ck to the protocol. You can purchase this product from various health stores or online.

• Exercise is recommended but not a necessity. 20 minutes, 3 �mes a week is all you need.

POINTS TO REMEMBER

USING YOUR INJECTIONS

STEP 1: Wash your hands with soap and water and prepare a work area. You can go the extra mile by also disinfec�ng your work area. Pop off the cap from the HCG vial and wipe with an alcohol swab. Pick up the sterile water and wipe with the

alcohol swab. STEP 2: Use the mixing syringe and needle provided to draw up 2ml’s of the sterile water out of the vial. Any le�over water can be discarded. Please note your mixed solu�on will not be a full bo�le. Do not

Start with 6 units. If you inject 6 units per day the vial will last you 30-33 days. (The first 6 li�le stripes on a 0.5ml insulin syringe – each line equals 1 unit) If you remain hungry you may increase the amount that you inject with 1unit at a �me. Never inject more than 10 units per day.

• For both new bo�les and used bo�les, clean the rubber stopper with an alcohol pad.

• Remove the cap from the needle.• Pull back the plunger on the syringe to

draw in enough air to equal your HCG dose.

• Push the needle into the bo�le top and inject the air into the bo�le. When you inject air into the vial, this increases the air pressure inside the vial. This makes the right amount of HCG easier to draw out of the vial through the needle.

• With the needle in the bo�le, turn the bo�le and syringe upside down. Pull the plunger to fill the syringe past

your dose of HCG.• Push slowly on the plunger to the line

of your correct dose of HCG.• Check for air bubbles. If you see any

bubbles, tap the syringe with your finger to make them rise to the top. Then pull the plunger past your dose again and slowly push in the plunger un�l all bubbles are gone. Repeat this if needed to get rid of air bubbles. Tiny air bubbles are not dangerous, but they will decrease the amount of HCG in the syringe.

• Remove the needle from the bo�le and carefully lay the syringe down so that the needle does not touch anything.

The needle is so small that it just penetrates the skin and enters your fat and is not long enough to reach the muscle. This is called a subcutaneous injec�on.

There are several areas that you can inject yourself: • The Abdomen (the best)• Bu�ocks• Front and sides of both thighs• Hip areas (but not near the bone)• Outer upper arms (2nd best) • DO NOT Inject near bony places or joints.

• Choose your injec�on site. • Wipe with alcohol swab.• Pinch the skin and fat �ssue between your thumb and first finger. • Touch the needle to the skin, holding the syringe at a 90-degree angle. Push the

needle all the way into the skin. If the needle is not in far enough, the HCG may not be injected into the fa�y layer.

• Let go of the pinched �ssue before injec�ng the HCG or you will be squeezing the HCG out at the same �me you are trying to inject it.

• Press the plunger using a slow and steady push. • Count slowly to five before removing the needle. This will help prevent HCG from

leaking out of the injec�on site. • Pull out the needle and place a finger or alcohol pad over the site. Hold for a few

seconds and then rub the site gently to close the needle track. Some�mes there is a small amount of bleeding a�er the injec�on. This does not cause a problem except for the possible loss of HCG with the blood and it may leave a �ny bruise.

• Close cap and throw away used needles and syringes safely in a hard container that the needles cannot s�ck through.

• Inject HCG at room temperature.• Remove all air bubbles from the syringe before the injec�on.• If skin was cleaned with alcohol, wait un�l it has dried before injec�ng.• Avoid changing the direc�on of the needle during inser�on or removal.

The Detox phase will prepare your body for the transforma�on process ahead. This phase is not about losing weight although it is not uncommon to do so in large amounts as you let go of toxins, excess water & impuri�es.

YOUR BASIC NUTRITION FOR THE NEXT 3 DAYS WILL LOOK LIKE THIS: • Unlimited vegetables or roughly 300g of Fruit from the allowed list.

You are allowed 3-4 servings daily depending on hunger.• 3-4 litres of water.• Unlimited amounts of plain black coffee and tea

• Please s�ck to the fruit OR vegetables from the allowed lists.• You can mix fruit & vegetables on the same day, but not in the same meal

whilst detoxing,• Diabe�cs may add a protein shake as needed to stabilise their blood sugar

with every meal.• The use of Green tea is encouraged• You may experience severe headaches, irritability and nausea during this

phase• (Some Bovril/Marmite in warm water will help with the nausea)

1. Start your day off by emptying your bladder. 2. Weigh yourself. 3. Have a glass of lukewarm water with the juice of half a lemon and a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar (You can also use bo�led lemon juice). 4. Take your dosage of drops or jabs.

FRUIT SALAD: 100 g Green apple, 100g Paw Paw, 100g Spanspek

VEGGIE FRY: Broccoli, Cabbage, Mushrooms, Onions. Stream broccoli and cabbage for 15-20 min. Fry the rest in coconut oil, season as desire and toss together

CRUNCHY VEG: 2 Large ribboned baby marrows, 2 slices onion, 1 large black mushroom sliced. Stir fry all ingredients with dried garlic and italian herbs very quickly so they have a little crunch

FRUIT DESSERT: 150g Apple, 150 g Pear. Microwave for 3 - 4 minutes. Sprinkle with sweetener and cinnamon

MUSHROOM & SALAD: Tomato, Cucumber, Baby Spinach, Rocket tossed salad serve with 1 large brown mushroom with garlic

VEGGIE NOODLES: Onion, green peppers, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes. 150g Woolies Cauliflower noodles. Fry all veg in coconut oil, add salt, paprika, cayenne pepper, italian herbs. Add noodles last. Mix and enjoy

SMOOTHIES: Celery Juice and/or Fruit Smoothie: Mix 300g of all your favorite fruits together

VEGGIE SOUP: Mix all your favorite vegetables with some seasoning and coconut oil. If you add Gems it will thicken your soup

CHINESE BOWL: Spring onion, zucchini noodles, asparagus spears slices, cabbage ribbons. Add you favorite allowed seasoning. Eat this with chopsticks, it will make you feel like you are eating out

THE SHRINKING PROTOCOL (THIS IS WHERE THE MAGIC HAPPENS)

Start your day off by emptying your bladder. Weigh yourself. Have a glass of lukewarm water with the juice of half a lemon (You can also use bo�led lemon juice). Take your dose or drops or jabs.

YOUR BASIC NUTRITION WILL LOOK LIKE THIS: • 3 meals + 2 op�onal snacks per day

* Please note you may incorporate your snacks into your main meals.

TIP: Refer to your menu samples for examples and inspira�on.

Once you have reached your goal weight you will con�nue on the meal plan above for 3 days but WITHOUT the Lipoly�c injec�on or drops, before you move to the Stabilisa�on/Maintenance Phase.

• BREAKFAST (110 grams of protein + vegetables + 1 fruit) You must start your day with protein and a fruit, the vegetables are op�onal.

• SNACK (half por�on starch + 1 fruit)• MEAL (115 grams protein + vegetables/salad)• SNACK (half por�on starch or light cuppa soup + 1 fruit)• MEAL (140 grams of protein + vegetables/salad)

DAY 4 UNTIL GOAL WEIGHT IS REACHED.

• Water – 2-4 litres per day is ideal. Water is instrumental in appe�te control. It is an essen�al nutrient which helps flush toxins from the body. It works in synergy with the lipoly�c system to increase the rate of weight loss.

• Rooibos tea and herbal teas is

included in water quota. As long as it is caffeine free.

• Coffee and tea – black only, can be sweetened with Canderel, Suki, Equal, Stevia etc.

• Diet cold drinks – tab, coke light, diet coke, sprite-zero, coke-zero (4 cans maximum per day).

GOLDEN RULESEAT VERY SLOWLY:By ea�ng slowly, you give your body the opportunity to absorb food into the bloodstream and reach the sa�a�on centre quicker to sa�sfy sooner. Therefore, you must frequently put down your cutlery or food whilst ea�ng and don’t con�nue before your mouth is completely empty. It is specially important to chew the food thoroughly.

BE RELAXED:Never eat when you are agitated or bored. Never do anything else while ea�ng, e.g. reading, watching television.

CONTROL OVER HUNGER OR CRAVINGS:If you feel hungry or peckish; immediately go for a walk, read or think of something you like. Make sure you distract yourself to not fall back into old habits. It takes prac�ce but is worth the trouble. Beat emo�onal ea�ng and cravings with our amazing weight loss program.

AVOID TEMPTATION:It would be be�er to stay away from occasions where your willpower will be tested. This is par�cularly the case during the first or ini�al diet. Business lunches are o�en an excuse for uncontrolled desires. If you are a�ending an event or braai, make sure you prep your own food or eat in advance.

PLATES AND CUTLERY:Smaller plates and cutlery create the illusion of there being more food – you’re only human a�er all. You can also make use of a blue plate as this is was found during weight loss to act as an appe�te suppressant.

For women, your cycle may cause a weight gain of 1 – 2.5kg. Beware of the date of your last menstrual cycle.

HUNGER?You may periodically struggle with hunger, however, most people do not. If you are hungry, then increase your water or tea intake. The hunger will normally pass by the second week and you will find your servings to be sa�sfying. HCG mobilizes fat and makes it available to the body as an energy source, naturally reducing appe�te.

SLEEPGet enough sleep. Many pa�ents have reported that not enough sleep has reflected li�le or no weight loss on the following day. Aim for 6-8 hours per night.

APPLE DAY: The “apple day” plateau breaker method is NOT recommended on a con�nuous basis. The process: Reduce your fluid intake by 1 litre and eat 6 apples throughout the day. This method typically will rid the body of excess fluids and most pa�ents state they lose about 1 kilogram.

STEAK DAY:Dr Simeon’s “steak day” plateau breaker is not recommended to be followed more than 1-2 �mes during the 6-week course. However, here is the process: Drink as much fluid as possible throughout the day and then enjoy a large steak for dinner. You may have 1 tomato and/or an apple with your steak. Many people have stated that they have lost about 1 kilogram the following day.

REACHED A WEIGHT LOSS STALL OR PLATEAU?

HERE ARE A FEW SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO AVOID CHEATING ON THE SHRINKING PROTOCOL:• Space out your meals and have a snack ready (your fruit, some raw celery s�cks,

etc). Try saving that second fruit serving for the evening if you get the munchies late at night. If you crave sweets, try a li�le natural sweetener on your strawberries.

• Drink extra water. Add some squeezed lemon and a li�le sweetener. It tastes good and its good for you.

• Journal all the reasons why you want to lose weight. Remembering why you chose to lose the weight in the first place can really help you. For your family? Your kids? Your health? Looking good? Buying gorgeous clothes? REMEMBER!!

• Think about the end result. Visualize yourself at your goal weight, playing with your kids, buying that bikini. Finding a reason to s�ck it out is cri�cal to making it happen.

• Make some hot tea. A nice cup of herbal tea, with some sweetener for sweetness or lemon can really take the edge off.

• Take a walk. A brisk walk around the block will help you clear your head and redirect your thoughts back on to the program.

• Get your family and friends on board. Many �mes, people cheat because they are confronted with tempta�on by family and friends. Try to get your family and friends to be suppor�ve and ask them kindly not to wave donuts under your nose or try to sabotage your diet efforts.

WHAT IF YOU HAVE SOMETHING EXTRA TO EAT? It is always best to s�ck to the shrinking protocol exactly, if you can. But if you must cheat it needs to be understood that the HCG is interrupted for the next three days. In other words, the pa�ent will not lose weight for the three days following the interrup�on (some�mes longer). Remember with extensive chea�ng while on the HCG diet, the hypothalamus will not reset.

STABILISATION PHASE

Before you start this phase, you must con�nue with the SHRINKING PLAN ( Phase 2) for 3 days WITHOUT the lipoly�c DROPS OR JABS.

DO NOT skip this phase as this is crucial for your weight loss to be SUCCESFUL and not to gain the weight back or fluctuate up or down on the scale.This phase is just as important as the fat burning phase. It is cri�cal for rese翿�ng the hypothalamus gland, which controls your metabolism and the endocrine system of the body.

• You must weigh yourself every morning as soon as you rise but a�er you have urinated.

• Eat three meals a day. You may increase your meals in size and quan�ty, as long as you follow the rules below.

• Eat an adequate amount of daily calories to maintain weight and you may resume normal exercise rou�ne.

ALL STARCHES AND SUGARS ARE AVOIDED FOR FIRST 3 WEEKS!Avoid: Sugar, Breads, Pastas, Starchy Vegetables (all potatoes, corn, dense squashes, carrots and beets), rice, wheat cereals, noodles, barley, any kind of flour, rye, food starch etc. Beware of processed foods because many will contain starches and sugars.

CARBS & SUGARS:First 3 weeks - Avoid foods with significant starches such as corn and potatoes. Stay away from starches and sugar religiously. When they are combined, weight gain will occur dras�cally.It is important to note that your new weight has not yet become stable (i.e. does not show violent fluctua�ons a�er an occasional excess.) A�er 3 weeks on Phase 3 (Maintenance) you may consume sugars, starches and healthy carbs in modera�on. During and a�er the MAINTENANCE PHASE you should not gain any weight. Con�nue to weigh yourself daily. If you experience a common 2kg

gain within the maintenance phase do not worry. However once the scale registers above a 2kg weight gain it is important to do a “Steak OR Apple Day” the same day the gain is no�ced. Many clinics have discovered that a steak or apple day will eliminate the weight.

STEAK DAY: Drink plenty of water (2 – 2.5 litres). Consume zero calories for breakfast, lunch, and snacks. For dinner consume a large unsalted steak. Eat with an apple and/or tomato. APPLE DAY: Reduce your fluid intake by 1 litre and eat 6 apples throughout the day.

You will experience a life changing nature of the metabolic shi� that occurs a�er a course of HCG combined with a low-calorie diet.

It’s important to remain within 2 kilograms of your last injec�on weight in either direc�on. You want to make sure to take in a reasonable amount of calories as soon as you begin phase 3 of the diet because the HCG is no longer burning your fat stores for fuel and your body requires energy and proper nutri�on to func�on properly. HCG stands for Human Chorionic Gonadotropin. HCG is a hormone naturally produced in the body. It has many func�ons and is used medically to treat a variety of condi�ons. It is the pregnancy hormone.
