Please pray for these present and former students of Cranmer Hall in whatever way is most appropriate for you.

Almighty Father, give to these your servants grace and power to fulfil their ministry. Make them faithful to serve, ready to teach, constant in advancing your gospel; and grant that, always having full assurance of faith, abounding in hope, and being rooted and grounded in love, they may continue strong and steadfast in your Son Jesus Christ our Lord; to whom, with you and the Holy Spirit, belong glory and honour, worship and praise, now and for ever. Amen

(from the Alternative Service Book Ordinal)

Ben Allison Clare, Alethea, Amos, Edna and I will be moving to Danesmoor, south of Chesterfield, where I will be serving as pioneer curate to North Wingfield Team Ministry in Derby Diocese.

Ruthi Banbury I am being ordained on 3rd July at York Minster to serve as curate at St. Oswald’s Church in Fulford, York. I am really looking forward to getting to know the parish and working with Terence, my training incum-bent. It will also be wonderful to be back in Yorkshire and to have a house with space for visitors. Please pray for me and every-one else being ordained from Cranmer as we start this new and exciting journey.

Edward Barlow Kate and I are looking forward to moving back to London this sum-mer — now with Elliot and Zara the cat in tow! I will be serving my title in the Parish of St. Michael and All Angels, Bedford Park, a vibrant Anglo-Catholic Church in leafy Chiswick.

My ordination will be on Saturday 2nd July, in St. Paul’s Cathedral.

Page 5: RANMER HALL - Durham University...and High Toynton. I will be ordained on 26th June at Lincoln athedral. Jane Petrie I am excited to be serving my curacy at Springfield hurch in Wallington,

Petrică Bistran Mirela and I shall be moving near Sunderland (Durham Diocese) where I will be an assistant curate in the parish of Silksworth, an ex-mining area. The Revd David Tolhurst, vicar of St. Matthew’s Church (a traditional Anglican congregation) will be my training incumbent and I very much look forward to working with him and for us to settle in the area. Alongside the standard aspects of occasional offices and Sunday worship, I will be involved with the school ministry which is an important aspect of the local church’s mission.

Rachael Dines I will serve my curacy in the parishes of St. Nicholas, North Walsham and All Saints, Edingthorpe in the glorious county of Norfolk. My training incumbent is the Revd Paul Cubitt, who also trained at Cranmer Hall. St. Nicholas, a massive old church in the centre of North Walsham, is improving links with the town and I am excited to be part of the new thing that God is doing. You're most welcome to visit and enjoy Norfolk and my baking! Thank you for your prayers. God willing, I will be ordained deacon in Norwich Cathedral on 2nd July.

James Durrant Chloe and I are looking forward to moving back to Derby Diocese this summer where I will be serving as curate for the parish of St. Alkmunds in Derby. It is a lively, charismatic evangelical church in the north west of Derby. My ordination will be in Derby Cathedral on the 26th of June.

Page 6: RANMER HALL - Durham University...and High Toynton. I will be ordained on 26th June at Lincoln athedral. Jane Petrie I am excited to be serving my curacy at Springfield hurch in Wallington,

Will Foulger

Vikki, Iris, Jonah, Jesse and I will be moving to Nottingham, where I will be serving as assistant curate in a new resource church plant in the city centre. The team, led by Jonny Hughes, will be meeting in homes and pubs and cafes for the first few months before going public and (hopefully!) moving into a permanent space some time in 2017.

Jonathan Gillespie Kah Foon and I will be moving to the lovely Cumbrian town of Windermere where I will begin my title post at St. Mary’s, Windermere, and Jesus Church, Troutbeck, under the guidance of the Revd David Wilmot. The diocese has an amazingly ambitious mission BHAG — a big, hairy, audacious, goal — to reach everyone with the gospel by 2020 and, at the same time, to re-orientate ourselves as interdenominational missional communities. Kah Foon will continue with Friends International, although she too will need to reconfigure the local aspects of her work. These are big adjustments for all concerned, so please pray as we seek God in the midst of it all. I hope to be ordained on 26th June in Carlisle Cathedral.

Page 7: RANMER HALL - Durham University...and High Toynton. I will be ordained on 26th June at Lincoln athedral. Jane Petrie I am excited to be serving my curacy at Springfield hurch in Wallington,

Graeme Holdsworth Does doing God's work require me to hurt the planet? I hope not. I plan to continue my voluntary abstinence from using a car and instead cycle, walk or use public transport to get around. My training will be in a small parish near Hull called ‘Welton-with-Melton’ supervised by the Revd Canon Elaine Bielby. It is a picturesque village; the church looks like it has a moat! To fulfil IME requirements, some of my training will extend to the Howden Deanery. Carol will continue her Reader ministry, Katherine is heading to university and Edward is starting his 'A' levels. I will be ordained, God and Bishop willing, at York Minster on 3rd July.

Jenny Ingram I will be serving my curacy with the Revd Lakshmi Jeffreys in the Parish of St. George the Martyr in Wootton with Quinton and Preston Deanery in the Peterborough Diocese. I will be serving in a semi-rural/suburban context, three miles from the city of Northampton. The tradition of the church is open-evangelical.

I am looking forward to being ordained on the 26th of June in Peterborough Cathedral and I would appreciate your

prayers for this day as well as for myself and Lakshmi and the parish we will be serving in! Thank you!

Page 8: RANMER HALL - Durham University...and High Toynton. I will be ordained on 26th June at Lincoln athedral. Jane Petrie I am excited to be serving my curacy at Springfield hurch in Wallington,

Mandy Jones I am returning to my home and sending diocese of Carlisle where I will be serving as an assistant curate in the Benefice of Penrith with Newton Reigny and Plumpton Wall. Two of the churches are in the town centre and two are in small rural villages and I am looking forward to the diversity. I am very much looking forward to joining the Revd David Sargent and the team there to serve the people in this area, reaching out to them with the love of God and seeking God's plans and purposes. I will be ordained as a Deacon in Carlisle Cathedral on 26th June. Thank you for your prayers.

Beth Keith

Laurence, the kids and I are thrilled to be moving back to Sheffield this summer. Following ordination on 26th June, I will be ministering at Sheffield Cathedral, as pioneer curate, with Canon Missioner Keith Farrow, who will be my training incumbent. The Cathedral is a busy place with lots going on: a variety of worship services, work with older people, children’s groups, a homeless project, a café, concerts, and art exhibitions from time to time.

Alongside the standard aspects of curacy, I will have the opportunity to get involved with the wider life of the Cathedral and its ministry in the city centre.

Page 9: RANMER HALL - Durham University...and High Toynton. I will be ordained on 26th June at Lincoln athedral. Jane Petrie I am excited to be serving my curacy at Springfield hurch in Wallington,

Katie Lawrence Please pray for Matt, Poppy, Josiah, Solomon and me as we move to Winchester where I will be serving in my curacy at the Cathedral. In particular, for vision and discernment as I develop new ministries on the edges of the community, that the Holy Spirit would inspire us creatively to share our passion for Jesus and for mutual flourishing as we grow into all that God has in store. I will be ordained at Winchester Cathedral on Sunday 3rd July.

Jacob Madin

After being ordained on 26th June in Lichfield Cathedral, I will begin serving my curacy in the parish of St. Matthew’s, Walsall, where I will be involved in a range of ministries. The parish covers an Urban Priority area with some of the centre of the town also within the parish boundaries and several schools with which the church works closely. The church is reasonably large, evangelical in tradition, and has historically been the

civic church of the town. There is also much untapped potential for ministry which my training incumbent is keen to invest in.

We will be moving back to York… in the York Diocese(!), where I will be serving as assistant curate at Clifton Parish Church. Within the Parish are two other churches, St. Marks, Rawcliffe and Clifton Moor Church (Anglican-Methodist Ecumenical Partnership). I will be working with the Revd Dave Casswell, in a diverse Parish. Please pray for Grace (12) and Esther (8) as they join new schools and pray for Heather and I as we re-imagine ourselves in a new church within a city where we are well known. Please pray that Freya sleeps!!!

Ian Maslin After ordination on 3rd July I shall be serving my curacy under the care of the Rector, the Revd Roy Woodhams, at St. Nicolas, Cranleigh in my sending diocese of Guildford. My wife Susie and I and our sons Matthew and Thomas are delighted to be joining the community in England's 'largest village' and contributing to the incredible faith work that the family of St. Nicolas are involved with in the local area and beyond. St. Nicolas has a ministry team rich in experience of faithful service to God and the Church and I could not ask for a better place to continue my journey with Christ.

Page 11: RANMER HALL - Durham University...and High Toynton. I will be ordained on 26th June at Lincoln athedral. Jane Petrie I am excited to be serving my curacy at Springfield hurch in Wallington,

Sam Parsons Rupert and I will be moving to the market town of Horncastle in Lincolnshire where I am looking forward to serving as curate in the Horncastle Group of Churches under the leadership of the Revd Charles Patrick. This is comprised of seven, mainly rural, parishes: Horncastle, Thimbleby, Martin, Thornton, Ashby Puerorum, Greetham and High Toynton. I will be ordained on 26th June at Lincoln Cathedral.

Jane Petrie

I am excited to be serving my curacy at Springfield Church in Wallington, Surrey (in South London, fairly close to Croydon). It’s also a return to home turf as I grew up only a couple of miles away. Springfield is a Fresh Expression and has a strong emphasis on community outreach. Part of my role will likely be to develop the church's ministry amongst those in the local area who are particularly isolated. Prayers are appreciated as I make the move south, and for relationships in the church and beyond. I’ll be ordained on Saturday, 25th June in Southwark Cathedral.

Nathanael Poole I will be serving my curacy in the parish of St. John The Evangelist, Great Horton Bradford, in the Diocese of Leeds. I'm really looking forward to ministering in such a diverse and challenging area. Please pray for me and my wife Lauren, as well as the Revd John Bavington, the incumbent of the parish.

Page 12: RANMER HALL - Durham University...and High Toynton. I will be ordained on 26th June at Lincoln athedral. Jane Petrie I am excited to be serving my curacy at Springfield hurch in Wallington,

Chris Precious Laura, Devon and I will be moving to the parishes of Alrewas with Fradley and Wychnor in the diocese of Lichfield. I will be ordained on 26th June in Lichfield Cathedral and will serve as assistant curate to the Revd Prebendary John Allan. Please pray for our ministries in three different rural churches and their surrounding communities. Please also pray for the development of fruitful relationships and for us all to settle in quickly because we will be living outside the parishes. Thank you for your prayers.

Ravi Sangra My family and I are looking forward to me starting my curacy at St. Nicholas Church in Liverpool Diocese this summer. My hope is to serve the church and diocese, however needed, and to grow in my ministerial and leadership skills. One aspect I'm particularly excited about is initiating and running a pioneering missional project. I'm also really looking forward to being back in the 'real world' but continuing with some of the study I've started at Cranmer. I am being ordained on the 26th June at Liverpool Cathedral.

Hannah Shingler I am very excited to be moving back to York in June to start my curacy post at St. Paul's, Holgate. St. Paul's Church is a great community and I am particularly looking forward to joining their staff team and learning from them as I start. I would appreciate your prayers as I move back to York, particularly as I pick up old friendships and make new ones. I will be ordained on Sunday 3rd July in York Minster.

Page 13: RANMER HALL - Durham University...and High Toynton. I will be ordained on 26th June at Lincoln athedral. Jane Petrie I am excited to be serving my curacy at Springfield hurch in Wallington,

Hannah Suekarran God willing, I will be ordained Deacon on 3rd July in York Minster, and will serve my curacy in the Benefice of Harton; a group of eight parishes, with ten churches serving 14 villages. Finding myself saying an enthusiastic 'yes' to a rural curacy in a multi-parish benefice was the latest in a long list of surprises on my vocational journey, but I am excited about it. The Revd Chris Wingfield will be my training incumbent, and I will be joining a small ministry team. The churches are committed to working together as a worshipping community, and I'm looking forward to getting involved with all that is already going on, learning lots, and looking for where God might be giving vision for new things, too. I will be living in and commuting from Strensall, where my husband Rob is serving his curacy. Please pray for us as we begin the adventure of balancing two curacies in our first year of marriage; that we would seek to rely on God and be expectant about the things He will do on the journey ahead!

Lesley Sutherland

I shall be ordained, God willing, in Durham Cathedral on 3rd July and am very privileged to be serving my title in Ferryhill and West Cornforth with the Revd Gary Norman. Gary was only inducted as incumbent on 26th January 2016, and is developing a vision for St Luke's, Ferryhill and Holy Trinity, Cornforth, for growth and especially for the development of youth work in both churches. I am looking forward to seeing the vision develop and to serving the people of both villages. Please pray for Gary, for the lay leaders

in both churches, and for my family as we move.

Ellie Bangay I am serving my curacy at York Minster, the Minster has a huge role within the Northern Province, the Diocese of York and within the city which means we get a lot of extra services and events. I have been developing the Minster's work with 0-40s which has involved setting up a toddler service - Minster Mice, an 18-30s Bible study and a youth group, I also organised an international women’s day event which saw over 300 people come to the Minster to make washable reusable feminine hygiene kits complete with sewing machines and ironing boards!

Naomi Barraclough Please pray for Naomi as she continues her ministry in Matlock.

Simon Bray Please pray for Simon as he continues his work in Beverley.

Page 16: RANMER HALL - Durham University...and High Toynton. I will be ordained on 26th June at Lincoln athedral. Jane Petrie I am excited to be serving my curacy at Springfield hurch in Wallington,

Jane Brown I was ordained Priest on 22nd May in York Minster. I continue to serve in the Benefice of Bramham, with four churches (Boston Spa, Bramham, Thorp Arch, and Walton) within the Diocese of York. This year has been busy getting to know the people and community, as well as settling into the strange life of a curate!

I am blessed with an experienced team to work with, both lay and ordained, and a busy context - lots of occasional offices, youth and children's work, good links with local schools and other institutions, and strong pastoral care. It's a great place to learn. Please pray for us, as we seek to reach out more and more to the local community.

Deborah Coyne I am currently serving as curate in the Rural Benefice of East York: Dunnington (St. Nicholas), Stockton on the Forest (Holy Trinity), Warthill (St. Mary’s) and Holtby (Holy Trinity) – yes, two Holy Trinitys! With diverse worship across four beautiful villages just North East of York, all very different to one another and all surprisingly rural, given how close they are to York city centre (10 min drive). I was ordained Priest on May 22nd in York Minster. In November, I bought a cockerpoo puppy: Aslan. He is an asset to the mission and ministry here as well as a wonderful addition to single life.

Page 17: RANMER HALL - Durham University...and High Toynton. I will be ordained on 26th June at Lincoln athedral. Jane Petrie I am excited to be serving my curacy at Springfield hurch in Wallington,

Jonny Dade In June 2015, Anna and I moved to Northampton, where I have been serving as the curate of St. Giles Church. My focus has been on developing student ministry and working with young adults as well as being part of a church-wide project aimed at raising the profile of ‘discipleship’ and nurturing new small groups. Our town-centre location also means that I have the privilege of regularly ministering in our local care homes, visiting primary schools, teaching on the Alpha course, and networking with other churches. Meanwhile, Anna has been enjoying her work as Assistant Leader for Mathematics at Abbeyfield Academy – just a few minutes’ drive away.

Please pray for me as I am ordained Priest on 25th June at Peterborough Cathedral.

Glyn Diggins Please pray for Glyn as he continues his ministry in Malton and Old Malton, North Yorkshire.

Page 18: RANMER HALL - Durham University...and High Toynton. I will be ordained on 26th June at Lincoln athedral. Jane Petrie I am excited to be serving my curacy at Springfield hurch in Wallington,

John Dracup Please pray for John as he continues his ministry at St. John the Baptist Church in the Parish of Coley near Halifax in West Yorkshire.

Christel Erving Please pray for Christel as she continues her ministry at St. Luke's Church, Walton in Liverpool Diocese.

Dianne Gamble I am serving my curacy in five parishes near Thirsk in North Yorkshire and am really enjoying rural ministry. The two biggest challenges in my ministry so far have been: the slow nature of getting to know each church when you only lead worship once every 5-6 weeks; coming to understand how each parish is different, in its outlook and how it relates to its community, even though geographically they are next to each other. I value your prayers for all aspects of my ministry, but especially as I try to establish a ministry to the local farming community through a chaplaincy at the auction mart.

Please pray as I am ordained priest by Archbishop Sentamu in York Minster on 22nd May.

Page 19: RANMER HALL - Durham University...and High Toynton. I will be ordained on 26th June at Lincoln athedral. Jane Petrie I am excited to be serving my curacy at Springfield hurch in Wallington,

Carl Harding Maggie and I are thoroughly enjoying life in Cumbria where I serve as curate of Stanwix Parish in north Carlisle. Highlights of life as a curate have included being a hub church for Hope Carlisle, working with Christians across the city to bless the community, compering the Christmas Extravaganza and this year’s Lent course. Maggie continues to work part-time for Livability and enjoys her monthly commute across country to London. We feel blessed to bits by God to be living in Carlisle, serving this parish and looking forward to ordination to the priesthood on 26th June in Carlisle Cathedral.

Lisa Harper

I am Lisa Harper and I have a daughter Tara (11). I was ordained Deacon at Lichfield Cathedral on 28th June 2015 and am currently serving the

Central Telford Parish. There are six churches and eight communities in the parish. Telford is a great place to serve a curacy as there is so much variety and some great opportunities for mission. I am part of a team of ordained and lay ministers collaboratively ‘Reflecting Jesus Everywhere’ in our town. It is a real privilege to be part of growing God’s kingdom in, supposedly, a godless place!

Page 20: RANMER HALL - Durham University...and High Toynton. I will be ordained on 26th June at Lincoln athedral. Jane Petrie I am excited to be serving my curacy at Springfield hurch in Wallington,

Jo and Nigel Hurst Please pray for Jo and Nigel as they continue their ministry at Kendal Parish Church.

Kate Jamie

I have been working as a Deacon at both St. Mary the Virgin and The Church of the Ascension, Easington this past year and I am delighted to be ordained Priest in the Church of England at Durham Cathedral on the 2nd July 2016 at 5.00 pm. My husband Matt and I moved up to the North East from London when I began my training at Cranmer Hall, Durham. Thank you for your prayers for us at this special and exciting time.

Page 21: RANMER HALL - Durham University...and High Toynton. I will be ordained on 26th June at Lincoln athedral. Jane Petrie I am excited to be serving my curacy at Springfield hurch in Wallington,

Mary Jobling God has faithfully answered many prayers from last year, I’m enjoying and feeling fulfilled in ordained life, well settled in Scarbados and have found a good balance of ministry, fellowship and life since moving here. Working with the Revd Sam Taylor has been massively inspiring and fun. We are seeing shoots of Kingdom growth and would really welcome your prayers for us to continue to be able to discern what God is doing, to be able to be in step with him.

I would welcome your prayers to grow deeper in love with Jesus, and to grow in discernment and wisdom going forward into Priesthood.

David Johnson Please pray for David as he continues his ministry in the benefice of Monk Fryston and South Milford in York Diocese.

Chris Krawiez

Please pray for Chris as he continues his ministry in Great Harwood, Blackburn Diocese.

Well, what an amazing time I’ve had since leaving Cranmer in June. Not only have I been at the Consecration of a Bishop, I have live-streamed the Nine Lessons and Carols service from Ripon Cathedral as part of a bigger project from the Church of England and I have also been the @ourcofe person on twitter. Whilst all of this is going on, I get to work in an amazing building of prayer that has stood for over 1300 years. I am still carrying on with my discernment journey and preaching in various places. If you are ever near Ripon do drop me a line and pop in.

Sharon Lord Please pray for Sharon as she continues her ministry in Burton-Upon-Trent, Staffordshire, Lichfield Diocese.

Marcus Mak

I decided to make a major move, get ordained and then get married all in the same year.

My beautiful wife is Rosalie and we are in the Parish of Creekmoor, Poole, in a church called Christ Church. The church is very missionally minded, busy with a variety of ministries for the very young and the more mature in years. As well as the usual deacon duties, I head up the men’s ministry and the evening service called Engage. I get ordained on the 25th June and though there have been challenges, I am loving full time ministry because of an

increasing intimacy and knowledge of Jesus.

Page 23: RANMER HALL - Durham University...and High Toynton. I will be ordained on 26th June at Lincoln athedral. Jane Petrie I am excited to be serving my curacy at Springfield hurch in Wallington,

Adam Maynard Please pray for Adam as he continues his ministry in Christ Church, Norris Green in the Diocese of Liverpool.

Ali Miller I have been serving my title at All Saints’, Lanchester

and St. John the Evangelist, Burnhope. The people

have been extremely welcoming and wearing a dog

collar has led to umpteen conversations and random

encounters. It is a huge privilege to take baptisms and

funerals – sure that is often stated, but it is true. The

worship at Lanchester is sacramental (I have loved

carrying out the liturgical duties of a deacon) and we

are strongly committed to developing spirituality,

hence our recently developed vision for the church centred on Community,

Contemplation, and Compassion. My ordination to the priesthood takes

place at Durham Cathedral, Saturday 2nd July, and I am rather excited

(understatement!) about celebrating Mass on the Feast of St .Thomas.

Mina Munns I am working in a former mining community in Nottinghamshire and getting used to living in a place with very few facilities! The context of the parish is quite a depressing one but we are starting to see real signs of God at work, we are trying new things and we are excited! I am getting ordained as a priest at Southwell Minster on Saturday 2nd July so please pray for that day and also for our continued work to try and figure out what God is doing so we can get on board!

Page 24: RANMER HALL - Durham University...and High Toynton. I will be ordained on 26th June at Lincoln athedral. Jane Petrie I am excited to be serving my curacy at Springfield hurch in Wallington,

David Newton

Sally and I moved to Ely in the summer as I started as curate in the Ely Team and she began work as Director of Education at the Cathedral. My role includes having special responsibility for Downham Parish and oversight of discipleship across the benefice, and – most of the time (let’s be honest here) – I’m loving it. I'll be ordained priest on Saturday 2nd July. We have a beautiful Black Labrador called Oreo— more important than all that though, we‘re expecting a baby in September!

Darren Pollock

Last year I foolishly got married twelve days before I got ordained to the sacred office of deacon. I really didn't know my backside from my elbow after not one, but two ontological changes in the space of a fortnight. Drunk on liturgy and love, I stumbled from Cranmer's green and pleasant land to the then parishes of Christ Church Walton and Holy Trinity Walton Breck (now after the approval of her majesty Elizabeth Royal II we are the Parish of Christ Church and Holy Trinity WB.) A famous comedian told me you don't get to do your act in

Liverpool, you turn up and watch theirs. I have been heckled twice. In general though they are not a bad bunch except when things get a bit rowdy at the chip shop on Good Friday. Theologically reflecting, they like their steaks rare and their atonement substitutional. Furthermore Rugby does not exist but there is plenty to get on with in the daily offices and all the good work we do with the poor.

Page 25: RANMER HALL - Durham University...and High Toynton. I will be ordained on 26th June at Lincoln athedral. Jane Petrie I am excited to be serving my curacy at Springfield hurch in Wallington,

Jenn Riddlestone Please pray for Jenn as she continues her ministry in Egham in Surrey, Guildford Diocese.

Bryanell (Brye) Rop Hi y’all! I am still over in the States finishing up my degree at Duke University (hopefully, graduating this May), and working as an intern for

Swepsonville United Methodist Church on the weekends. I will not be going forward for ordination this year, but will be moving back to Arizona to be with my family and working in IT until I find out whether or not I will be moving to England next year to work for the Methodist

Church of Britain. However, if that does not work out I will continue moving forward with the United Methodist Church.

Rob Suekarran Please pray for Rob as he continues his ministry at St. Mary’s Church, Strensall , York Diocese.

Page 26: RANMER HALL - Durham University...and High Toynton. I will be ordained on 26th June at Lincoln athedral. Jane Petrie I am excited to be serving my curacy at Springfield hurch in Wallington,

Beth Rookwood

Barney and I got married two weeks after ordination last year – and we are so enjoying being together and trying to follow Jesus in Morpeth. I serve in three churches, all different in style, and am mainly pondering the question 'What is God doing here to grow His Church and draw people to Him?' We've had a couple of fun outreaches, and are loving serving on an Alpha course. I will be ordained as priest in July and would value prayers for God to stretch my heart and mind with love and wisdom as I serve Him in the Newcastle Diocese.

Rachel Sheehan I am coming up to the end of my first year of curacy and I am, God willing, due to be priested by Bishop Paul Bayes on 11th June at Liverpool Cathedral. I am serving my curacy in a town called Wigan, which is the most Northern part of the Liverpool Diocese. The Wigan deanery in particular is undergoing immense change at the moment due to an 1.2

million initiative called ‘Transforming Wigan’ which is aiming to ‘revive the spiritual heart of Wigan’. As you can imagine this is an extremely exciting opportunity and I feel privileged to be serving my curacy in this place, at such a time as this. However like anything, it is not without its challenges and your prayers would be greatly appreciated for myself, my fellow clergy colleagues and our congregations as we continue to embark on this adventure and travel down this road of radical change.

Page 27: RANMER HALL - Durham University...and High Toynton. I will be ordained on 26th June at Lincoln athedral. Jane Petrie I am excited to be serving my curacy at Springfield hurch in Wallington,

Alison Stewart Smith

It is a great privilege to be serving my curacy in as beautiful a place as the Par-ish of Swaledale with Arkengarthdale. My Deacon’s year has been one of new experiences and a time of growth per-sonally, spiritually and vocationally. I have particularly enjoyed getting to know people here, and developing an understanding of how church works in a rural setting. I am also enjoying working with our C of E primary school, where I am teaching some French and music as well as leading assemblies.

I will be ordained priest on 25th June in Ripon Cathedral.

Tim Wall I am currently serving my curacy at St. Cuthbert’s Church in Peterlee. The high-lights of the past year have been the chances to spend time getting to know the people and the place of Peterlee. The lowlights include a large hole ap-pearing in the church roof and struggling to find a pub to buy real ale. My wife, Susanna, has been teaching in Peterlee for four years and we have been enjoy-ing the opportunities and the challenges of working within the same community. I will, hopefully, be ordained priest on 2nd July in Durham Cathedral.

Page 28: RANMER HALL - Durham University...and High Toynton. I will be ordained on 26th June at Lincoln athedral. Jane Petrie I am excited to be serving my curacy at Springfield hurch in Wallington,

Sam Whittington Please pray for Sam as he continues his ministry at Christ Church Gipsy Hill, South London, in the Diocese of Southwark.

Mark Wilson Please pray for Mark as he continues his ministry at St. Thomas Kidsgrove, Lichfield Diocese.

Page 29: RANMER HALL - Durham University...and High Toynton. I will be ordained on 26th June at Lincoln athedral. Jane Petrie I am excited to be serving my curacy at Springfield hurch in Wallington,

John Yarrien Blessings from the Sherwood Forest circuit in Mansfield, I’m John Yarrien and I’m serv-ing as a probationer presbyter in the Meth-odist church. Its been a busy year for me and my wife Cora since leaving Cranmer last summer, as Cora continued her curacy and I set about looking after my three churches - Bridge Street, Bethel and Shire-brook. I have been working on turning round a financial deficit, completing a ma-jor refurbishment and building up ecumenical partnerships in a ex-mining context struggling to find its post-industrial identity. It is great fun, and I feel God has brought me to this place to bring refreshment and renewal and God is definitely at work amongst the people here. God’s blessing to you all as you embark on the often crazy vocation of ministry in the Church.
