All class weights as per the 2013 WA State Rules and the 2013 AKA Karting
Manual. Those running water cooled engines in the Sportsman 100 classes
must run with a 5kg weight penalty.
Pro-Cadets to run with an AKA 1 restrictor plate.

All heats 10 laps with 15 lap final (Juniors 8 lap heats and 10 lap final).

Direction of ALL racing will be Clockwise.
TYRES: one (1) set ONLY of tyres is permitted. If necessary, one (1)
set of wet weather tyres is permitted.
Open class allowed 5th tyre option as per WA state rules.
A minimum of five (5) entrants constitute a class. The Hedland Kart
Club reserves the right to alter the race format including number of laps,
to suit the number of race nominations, track conditions and race time
table. The Hedland Kart Club also reserves the right to alter any prize
money or prizes to reflect the number of nominations. If modifications
occur, entrants will be notified.
KZ2 engines only. Feature races to commence after the completion of
daytime class finals.
Minimum 8 entries constitutes a class. Open class (KZ2 engines only)
competitors must run in the open class during the day and complete a
minimum of 75% of races to be eligible to participate in the feature. Open
tyres to be used from daytime races. In extraordinary circumstances, tyres
of the same mileage may be supplied by the Hedland Kart Club (decision
is up to the HKC and AKA race officials). FEATURE HEAT – RANDOM GRID, STANDING START, 15 LAP.
Grid formations will be decided from a 2 bucket draw. HKC will use
Bucket 1 to randomly pick the order of which competitors choose from
Bucket 2. Once Bucket 1 is complete, competitors will pull a number out
of Bucket 2 which will be their grid starting position for the heat.
KZ2 FEATURE FINAL—20 LAP STANDING START Grid Positions will be the finishing positions from the feature heat.

Senior classes: $100.00 ($50.00 for secondary entries)
Junior/Rookie/Midget: $50.00 ($40.00 for secondary classes)
Nominations can be completed online on the AKA website. All nominations must be received by 8pm SUNDAY 7th of July 2013. Late entries
will be accepted up to 12 noon Friday 12th of July 2013. Please note: all late entries will incur a $50.00 late fee. NO ENTRIES WILL BE
ACCEPTED ON RACE DAY.
As per 2013 State Rules, entries are not valid until payment is received. All nominations must be accompanied with payment. EFTPOS/CREDIT
CARD FACILITIES ARE NOT AVAILABLE.

Location: North West Coastal HWY Port Hedland
Camping at the track is permitted. Some power will be available, generators are permitted. No Pets.
Canteen and Bar facilities available. Licensed area NO BYO.
Clear visors are to be used when track lights are on.
Enclosed footwear must be worn in all pit and grid areas.
NO SMOKING within the pit area.
