Upcoming Programs & Events

Dear Rotarians,

Rotary International’s theme for December is family. Who is our Rotary family? They are fellow club members, spouses, children, youth exchange students, and Interact club members.

Through programs, our sense of community and family extends further to all of the men, women, and children whose lives we touch as Rotarians. The community we live in, the worldwide community and the community of Rotarians have become part of our family.

During this holiday season, let’s enjoy spending time together as a Rotary family and be mindful of all of the families we have the opportunity to help now and throughout the year.

Yours in Rotary Service, Diane Winnemuller

The lending libraries beat out Bill Gates at No. 25 and Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi at No. 50. Today, there are more than 16,000 lending libraries in 55 countries. The Little Free Library phenomenon was started by Rotarian Todd Bol.

Randolph Rotary continues to build libraries in our community one book at time. Each week, we donate a book to Randolph County Partnership for Children. We also put dictionaries into the hands of third graders each year.

One of our goals for the upcoming year is to reach more children in Randolph County through our literacy efforts. With that idea in mind, we would like to provide 5th graders a book entitled Your Greatest Power. This book has inspired many people to consider their power of choice. If we can inspire rising middle school students to explore their options, we will create a legacy in our community and hopefully a book that children and
