PROJECT OVERVIEW Each year, in the holy month of Ramadan, Al-Huda follows the Sunnah of Holy Prophet (S.A.W) by intensifying welfare activities. Food for Sheri and Iftar is provided at hospitals and madras’s. Before starting of Ramadan, so that they can survive in the holy month of Ramadan and they spent their time in Ibadat and reciting of Holy Quran. The main objective of Al-Huda Ramadan Project is providing the ration Bags, to widows, orphans, most needy and deserving people, and bring them closer to Quran as AL-Huda slogan “Quran for all in very hand in every heart”. Every year Al-Huda SWD free distributing Ramadan Ration Food few days before of Ramadan ul Mubarak. We are distributing Ramadan Food Ration among the whole population of needy and deserving peoples O’ you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon Those before you that you

may become God-conscious. (Al-Baqarah 2:183) The month of Ramadan is upon us; the Prophet (peace be upon him) mentioned in this good hadith (narration of the sayings or actions of the Prophet) that when the month of Ramadan comes, the gates of Paradise are opened and the doors of the Hell-fire are closed and that the devils are chained. (Ahmad and An-Nasa )

PROJECT DESCRIPTION Ramadan Ration distribution project for the year 2018 is the yearly based activity which Al- Huda International Welfare Organization is performing from last many years. With the past experience the organization has developed a great experience and understanding the needs of deserving in the communities. The target area of this specific activity


To conduct this activity, following steps are adopted for keeping in view the delicate Transparency and high level of professionalism;

a. Allocation of ration bags

Before the process of procurement a delicate activity of allocation of ration bags were done to

finalize the distribution of Ramadan Ration bags to deserving personals and families. All the regional

and sub offices took part in the activity and as a result following table of area wise allocation of bags

was finalized;


b. Procurement Process

The board of directors of Al-Huda International Welfare Organization took a bold step of adopting

the policy of “Dissemination of Benefit to Locals”. According to this policy services of local vendors

of ;

1. Karachi,

2. Multan,

3. Rahimyar Khan,

4. Islamabad, and

5. Chitral (KPK).

Were utilized. Proper quotations were called from these and a transparent process of competition

and finalization of vendors made. After the selection of vendors, Purchase Orders were released for

the supply of items in the required quantities in their locality.

c. Distribution method

For the distribution of Ramadan Ration for the year 2018, the area wise allocation table was used.

The representatives of Al-Huda International Welfare Organization were made focal person and

they utilized their regional and sub-offices for distribution.

The cost of distribution were put into the price of the package, in few cases in the area of Peshawar

(KPK), the charges of transportation were paid for further trickle down distribution for sub- offices.

At the time of distribution all the personals were instructed to prepare a distribution report

(standard format provided) showing their;

These reports should be supported copies of CNIC of all recipients and by pictures of the activity.

222...AAA... Achievements 2.A.1. Activities and Results

The project has been concluded in a very short period of time of Two Months. All the Distributions were made till May 10-05-2018, which was Five days earlier of first day of Ramadan Kareem 2018. The important feature of this activity is that a large area is covered with the minimum use of resources, efficient timings and incurring of extremely low administrative costs.


2.A.2. Target Population/Beneficiaries The total beneficiaries from this project are around 9,198 Families or 73,584 personals with roughly equal gender breakup. All the beneficiaries are local residents of Target areas. Each beneficiary received a package of;

1= Flour = 20 Kg Bag 2= Sugar = 3 Kg 3= Ghee (Dalda) = 5 Kg 4= Dal Mong = 1 Kg 5= Tea (Tapal) = 385 Gm

Total Weight = 29.5 Kg

222...CCC... Project Impact The project has a very solid and positive impact on the daily life of the Deserving and Needy. Most of the families received the support got the relief from arranging food during the holy month of Ramadan. There are relieved from worries and got a very good opportunity of praying (Ibaadat) and ask forgiveness from Almighty ALLAH.
