Great news been published by various national newspapers and online news the last couple of weeks covering the statement from Indonesian Tourism Minister about the country’s plan to open for foreign tourists in July this year.
This will not be a national opening at once but rather per area, starting with Ubud and Nusa dua in Bali and Lagoi and Nongsa in Batam, these areas have been pushed to get green zone approval with certain requirements set by the government including percentage of people in these areas that have been vaccinated. The success of tourism in these areas will follow the opening of other areas in Indonesia and we hope to reach Raja Ampat very soon. Our team here is very excited to hear this news, we are ready to again deliver the best of Raja Ampat to our guests.
We have been diving ‘up a storm’ in Raja Ampat with the guests at the resort. The two weeks we have been diving EVERYDAY and the ocean conditions are beautiful, and the coral reefs are alive. Some of the uncommon sightings we had in the last month was plenty of Eagle Rays, many di�erent varieties of nudibranchs and the very cool Papuan Garden Eels.

While many believe that Raja Ampat is only worth diving certain months of the year, because of false advertising and information about the region. This poor promotion is to benefit resorts and liveaboards, who only operate in the area at certain times of the year.
Raja Ampat is also famous for the chance to see the Tasselled Wobbegong. These carpet sharks can be found in the shallow reefs of the area, most o£en found spending their time in overhangs or under large coral formations.
Raja Ampat is known as the most diverse ecosystem in the world, with thousands of marine species found in this tropical paradise. However, Raja Ampat is also home to the wreck of a P47 Thunder-bolt, “Santa Maria” with a fascinating history

These birds are famous in the area and believed by locals to be the reincarnation of fairies, parading their beautiful colours amongst

The Papuan Garden Eel was discovered in these waters in the year 2010 (that's l ike just the other day!). They spend most of their time hiding their small bodies, up to 60cm long, in the sand.
