What is YDAS?
The Youth Disability Advocacy Service or YDAS provides individual and systemic advocacy for
young people with disabilities between the ages of 12 and 25 in Victoria.
YDAS is a partnership between the Youth Affairs Council of Victoria, Youthlaw and the Disability
Discrimination Legal Service. YDAS is based at the Youth Affairs Council of Victoria
and is funded by the Victorian State Government.
What is YDAS?
YDAS aims to help young people with disabilities achieve their rights and have a
stronger voice.YDAS is directed by a steering group of young
people with disabilities who make decisions about the work and the priorities of the
service. The moto chosen by the steering group is
‘Raising voices, expanding choices, creating change’.
