3. Each child in our group will be given 2 posters? How many posters will we have altogether?

4. There are 24 children in our class but 2 are away on the day of our trip. How many children will be visiting The Living Rainforest?

5. Today, the Living Rainforest asked one school group of 16 to join with another school group of 5. How big was the group in total?

6. Mrs. Walker's group of 4 children are given 10 badges to share between themselves. How many does each child get. How many are left over?

7. Only 3 people in the whole class do not bring sandwiches. If there are 24 people in the class, how many children do bring sandwiches?

Round up or down after division (3a):

1. Tomorrow, 231 children and their teachers from 'The Large School' want to visit The Living Rainforest. They will travel by cars. Each car will hold 4 people (not including the driver). How many cars will be needed?

2. They decide instead to travel by coach. Each coach will hold 50 people. How many coaches will be needed?

3. Another school, 'The Small School', also have a group of 43 children and their teachers wanting to visit tomorrow. How many school people will be at The Living Rainforest?

4. When our class, Kangaroo class from St. John's Primary visit, we will be in 4 equal groups. If their are 24 people in the class, how many will be in each group?

5. When we arrive, we will be split into groups of 3, each with a The Living Rainforest member of staff. How many members of The Living Rainforest staff will we need?

6. Hopefully we will see some butterflies. There are 5 different types of butterfly and 9 of each type. How many butterflies are there?

7. The butterflies like to eat oranges. 1 orange will feed 4 butterflies. How many oranges will be needed?

1. At The Living Rainforest, all 20 children in our class are given 2 posters each. Unfortunately 3 people lose their posters. How many posters are brought back safely to school?

2. We are supposed to be joining together with another school. This school is bringing 2 classes, they have 28 children in each class. How many children will this make in total?

3. All these children will be split into groups of 5, each with a member of The Living Rainforest staff. How many members of The Living Rainforest staff will be needed?

4. Hopefully we will see the butterflies. There are 3 types of red butterfly, with 10 of each of these types. There are 2 types of blue butterfly, with 12 of each of these types. How many butterflies are there in total?

5. I have just heard that 7 butterflies have escaped but 12 new butterflies have hatched. How many butterflies are there now?

6. A family of 2 adults and 5 children, age 10, will also be visiting The Living Rainforest. Work out how much it will cost them to get in.
