The staffed private lodge is located on a secluded beach called Playa Juanito Mora, on the Golfo Dulce or“Gulf of Sweet Water”. The water in the Gulf is always warm and calm, making it perfect for swimming for the whole family.

One of the world’s most interesting phenomena occur in the Golfo Dulce: Between July and October, and again from January to April, hundreds of Humpback Whales travel to this bay to give birth, and to seek refuge from Orcas - the only natural predator to baby Humpbacks. This unique Gulf - surrounded on three sides by untouched rainforest - has an unusually large amount of fresh water rivers flowing into it, making it too toxic for the Orcas, but perfectly suitable for Humpback Whales.

Here you’ll experience a unique mix of pristine rainforest, beaches and incredible ocean views. Most mornings the monkeys show up, lounging in the trees. Scarlett Macaws, Toucans and many, many other colorful bird species abound. Always have your camera ready because you never know what you might see next!

Since this is truly a beachfront property, all water excursions such as whale watching tours, fishing trips, etc - will have you picked up right on the private beach in front of the lodge.

The air-conditioned main lodge has three bedrooms and three bathrooms, sleeping 6 to 8 comfortably. There is 1 x King bedroom, 1 x Queen bedroom, and 1 bedroom with 2 x single beds, along with an additional pull out futon sofa bed in the family room. The main lodge features a large fully equipped kitchen, wet bar, mini library with books on local fauna and flora, and a entertainment room with two HD TV’s for social gatherings. There’s a pool with a great view of the bay, large covered porch areas, and a giant gas grill for a great pool party!

The friendly full time lodge staff includes a knowledgeable on-site concierge, maid, groundskeeper, and an optional chef service to prepare daily gourmet meals. Concierge, housekeeping and laundry services are included, and the chef-prepared meal service is available on request for an additional daily fee.

The Osa is a haven for a rich diversity of flora and fauna, with an abundance of rainforest and marine life.
