Gardening Kalamazoo for Clean Water1. Establishing a Master Rain Gardener (MRG) Training and

Certification Program targeting up to 75 rain gardens

2. Removing existing impervious concrete surfaces at the KVCC

Arcadia Commons Campus and Kalamazoo Valley Museum.

3. Capturing roof runoff at the KVCC Food Innovation Building

Campus along Portage Creek and Axtell Creek for reuse in

growing local vegetables on-site.

4. Replacing existing impervious concrete sidewalk along

Arcadia Creek with pervious pavers to reduce runoff from a

section of the new downtown KRVT (City of Kalamazoo
