Spring is here! And we’re just about ready for our recital season. We’re looking forward to seeing our dancers perform on stage. THE RECREATIONAL DANCE PROGRAM’S SPRING RECITAL Kaleidoscope of Color

Saturday, May 18, 2019

Please join us on Saturday, May 18th at the Austad Auditorium in the Browning Center at Weber State University as dancers from the Recreational Dance program and Jazz Club teams showcase a year of hard work in our Spring Recital: “Kaleidoscope of Color.” We will have two shows at Noon and 3 pm. No costumes are necessary for the mandatory rehearsals -- just the shoes dancers will wear in their performance: tap, ballet, tennis, etc.

Both the $25 Family Spring Recital Fee and the $60 Costume Deposit (for each dance a dancer participates in) are now past due. If you haven’t already, please submit payment as soon as possible.

Sparks and Explosions Camp

Artistic Troupe Sparks and Explosions teams, mark your calendars for Sparks & Explosions Camp! This year’s theme is Rainbow Magic and for the Mini, Little and Tiny teams, it will be held on Fri., April 12. For Jr. and Elite teams, it will be on Sat., April 13. Dancers may wear their most rainbow or colorful dance attire and they need appropriate shoes. Friday dancers need tap shoes while Saturday’s dancers need hip hop shoes.

CONCERT

Year-end class and team pictures for both studios will be held at the Bountiful Studio on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, April 23, 24 and 25.

Recreational Program: Please view the accompanying schedule for your planned picture times. Note that during this week, all recreational classes held on Mondays, as well as those on Tuesday MORNINGS, will attend both regular class AND pictures. Due to time constraints, recreational classes held on Tuesday EVENINGS, Wednesdays and Thursdays will only attend pictures, forgoing their regularly scheduled dance class. Classes will receive more detailed picture ordering and costume information when they receive their costumes the week prior to pictures.

Artistic Troupe & Competitive Dance: All teams will receive their assigned picture times and schedules via email, however, please make note to save Tuesday, April 23 and Wednesday, April 24 for team/class pictures.

SUMMER DANCE REGISTRATION:DANCE CLASSES & IMPACT TRAINING

Registration for our two summer dance programs will begin after spring break. Our Dance Classes have something fun for all levels and all abilities, while Impact Training* helps dancers to target and improve in specific areas. Watch for more details, but start letting your friends know so they can join you in your favorite classes. It’s going to be fun!

*Impact Training is required for select teams.

We’re offering two spring sessions to help young toddlers get acquainted with dance! 2 1/2 and 3 year old dancers will receive six classes, a costume and opportunity to showcase their work! Visit our website for more details and to register!

Student must be visible somewhere in the picture. Pictures can include other people as long as DI student is included. One entry per dancer/student. Three $50 prizes will be awarded. Contest Winners will be announced on Instagram and Facebook, Wednesday, April 10th and will be contacted directly after the announcement.
