Never before have we been as early as the 2013 range. This autumn are we able to offer you the most important models – which is quite vital, as we have run out of everything.

All innovations have been brought for-ward and we have decided not to wait until the Eurobike trade show 2012 to present our innovations, but to start sup-plying immediately.

So many new things in September: Slide 150 has replaced Slide140, the 29s” have been completely overhauled and our masterpiece Black Sin rolls in 2013 in 26 and 29 inch. Slide 125 replaces the very reliable Stage (male version) and Lady Slide. Roadbike Spire has become light-er, has a little brother – Sage Carbon and a bigger sister, the Vaillant series.

The trekking fleet has had a breath of fresh air, the Crosser, Scart and Skill new features. Kids will be happy, Bodo Probst hast been conjuring bikes out of hats.. All in all, the best RADON generation of all times. All new ideas revolving around the motto of our new building-project that will be opening in spring 2013. A bikers’ experience park with over 20,000 sq. metres in Bonn will go beyond the scope of anything that was there be-fore. Bike park, Test Centre, Mega store and much more will be waiting for you.

Over 8 years of planning and bureaucracy are finally over. Last June the first cut of the spade for the new building of H&S Bike Dis-count, Bonn took place and the last trees were felled. With about 24,000 sq. metres in size, one of Europe’s most impressive bike-worlds comes into being.

This 5000 sq. metre bike cen-tre is being constructed near the motorway 565, exit Bonn-Hardtberg, close to the Tele-kom Basketball Dome. The importance lies in presenting our own successful brand of RADON bikes, which in the meantime enjoys interna-tional reputation. Two storeys of bikers’ shopping paradise: Bikes, accessories and clothes – everything that makes a bik-er’s heart beat faster!

We also offer shop-in-shop with bike wear manufactures GORE and ASSOS. Further brands such as Pearl Izumi, Löffler, Maloja, CRAFT and many others show their products in separate display rooms. Not only outside, but also inside we’ll have four different test

areas for test runs. You’ll find mountain and racing bikes on the top floor, together with CuBE, on over 400sq.m. of space, and on the ground floor trekking bikes and e-bikes plus test track. In the winter months there will be a large exhibition of fitness machines. This mas-

» SLIDE 150 SERIESThe legend lives on.For the past three years Slide has set standards in the All Mountain field and we have worked long, hard, and exhaustively on its successor; and we have created a masterpiece. The new Slide is here with a totally newly constructed frame. The top tube, due to its curved pipe form, has been lowered; the ample tyre clearance has increased so that the thickest, muddi-est, clogged up tyres will fit through! At the front we have built in a RADON Conehead to ensure steering-rigidity increased precision. Quick release axles, front and rear, are compulsory; the standard Rock Shox Reverb has been neatly tucked away. The shock absorber has grown to 150mm at the front and rear. Slide has now more reserves when travelling downhill and invites to play-ful surfing, but is eager to climb, as always – right to the top. The days where women used to ride their men’s old bikes are over. Today, there is so much choice beginning with Hardtail (ladies series), going over to mountain bikes (Stage Diva), trekking and fitness bikes (Sunset, Skill) right up to Enduro and Carbon bikes in small sizes. Having so much choice can some-times be a problem. We’d like to explain a couple of things so that you’ll have no problem finding your perfect Lady Bike!

The most important question when choosing: What kind of biker am I? Power girls, who are already planning a marathon, go for Hardtails or Fullys. Ful-lys offer in contrast to Hardtail (which has suspension springs at the front) a broader field of use as it has shock ab-sorbers at the front as well as the rear. Therefore there is more comfort, but also a higher need of maintenance.

For speedy downhill rides or tours in the mountains, we recommend an All-Mountain-Fully. Wider tyres and variabi-lity in the shock absorbers allow techni-cally more complex trips and flexibility in difficult terrains. However, the Fullys are heavier. For the daily bike mania in the city, the Fitness or Crossbike is just what you need to speedily cross the road. Crossbikes, like the Scart, is exactly the right product when you ride in forests and on dirt roads now and again.

Other important points: Shape follows function! Lady-Bikes have a low cross-bar, a shorter sloping top tube and a longer head tube. Because of this you have a straighter back, less pain in the back and arms. The brakes discs are smaller; this is important; less weight = less power. Air suspension forks can set the suspension to your individual weight. Last but not least, women have smaller body proportions. That is why the com-ponents should be fitted… to you!

The frame size means the length of the seat tube, measured from the middle of the bottom bracket to the end of the seat tube. To get the right height you have to first measure your inside leg. To do this you must stand with your back to a wall and put a spirit level (or a book) between your legs (crotch). Then someone has to measure the distance between the top of the level or book and the floor. Now multiply:a. for a racing bike – your measured length x 0,665 (in cm)b. for a mountain bike – your measured length x 0,226 ( in inches)c. for a trekking bike – your measured length x 0,64 (in cm)

Is the value between two calculated val-ues; choose the higher value for a sport-ier seat position and the lower value for a comfortable seat position.

A second possibility is to calculate over the size of your body. The following table gives you the measurement of the frame size. However, the method of measuring against the wall is more accurate.
