Principle  of  an  RF  source  

•  transform  a  dc  electron  beam  into  a  train  of  bunches  

•  use  this  train  to  excite  a  radia&ve  process  •  emiUed  radia&on    is  coherently    enhanced  at    the  bunching    frequency    (see  HW3)
