• First International Congress organized in Rome in September 1966 and chaired by Mr Polvani
• Mr Polvani, IRPA Council Member since 1965, Vice–President 1970-1973 and President 1973-1977
• First International European Congress organized in 2002
in Florence and chaired by Mr Osimani

“Polvani Bell”
At the end of the Congress, Mr Polvani, chairman of the congress, presented the bell to IRPA Pro Tempore President to be used at the opening and closure sessions of the following IRPA Congresses.
The “Polvani bell” was bought in a specialised shop for church articles in Rome by Mrs Lia Forti, Mr Polvani secretary.
Mrs Forti was responsible of the organizing secretariat of first IRPA Congress in Rome in 1966.
