The High School Career
Expo… South Africa’s only national
public exhibition designed to provide bothprimary and high school children with thenecessary tools to succeed in high schoolor tertiary education and beyond.Visitors were able to learn about thevarious public and private high schools onoffer, including special programs,extracurricular activities and admissionscriteria. Tertiary institutions, whichincluded RADA Training Academy (RTA)were able to provide prospective studentswith tertiary education information, witha special focus on Grade 11 & 12 learnersand their choice of study.
The high school career expo organizersarranged for more than 1000 primary andhigh School children and parents to attendthe expo which ran over the two days,Friday 25 and 26 January, at Greenstonemall in Edenvale.
Inspirational talks, flash mobs, music,entertainment and prizes were part forthe expo. “What a great opportunity toaddress parents and scholars over the twodays. It was a tremendous opportunity tomarket and showcase RADA not only tovisitors but an opportunity to engage withother exhibitors working in the sameindustry, promoting and encouragingfurther education with the youngupcoming and very vibrant market” saysRTA’s manager Donovan Michael.

Be the Way. Be theChange. One day at atime. Taking the message
to the streets in a new anddynamic way, RADAundertook anunprecedented ten monthcampaign, creatingawareness and on-the-ground engagementthrough various activationsand initiatives. Theseincluded highlighting issuesaround taxi and road userawareness, bullying inschools and the workplace,negativity in the serviceindustry, recognizing theneed for extrahumanitarian care andmore.Looking back, the task wasmammoth, but every bitworth it. During 2018,RADA witnessed aconscious effort fromcitizens to make adifference and lead better,more positive lives. “The
truth is, we realised,change doesn’t begin withgrand gestures; it beginswith a simple change inperspective,” says J-PNobrega, CEO and founderof RADA. “This is whatRADA Inspire is here toassist in doing. We cannotactivelychange peoples’ actions,but we can assist to changetheir mindset, so that bymarrying action withawareness andencouraging people tomake one small differenceeach day, we cancollectively better theworld we share.”Using music as a vehicle forchange, RADA released, tocritical acclaim, a poweranthem featuring 31 ofSouth Africa’s top artiststitled We Stand Together.Throughout 2018, RADAInspire was featured innumerous publicationsincluding Country Life,Essentials Magazine, Livingand Loving, Your Family,Food and Home and manymore, as well as beingfeatured on television withinserts on ExpressoMorning Show on SABC 3and the Afrikaans musicprogramme Kliphard on
SABC 2. With such asuccessful movement in2018, RADA has decided toturn RADA Inspire into anannual campaign, becausewe realise that change is alifelong endevor thatcomes about throughconsistent renewing of themind daily. RADA Inspirewill continue in March2019 with the same tenmonth campaign, onlybigger and better.RADA will continue to usemusic to bring the messageof positive change to theworld with the eventualrelease of the RADA Inspirealbum, additional musicvideos and singlesfeaturing South Africantalent. RADA will alsocontinue to seek out newartists through the RADAUnearthed project,assisting musicians in theircareer and using the arts asa medium to communicatethe RADA Inspire message.

RADA Inspire is aboutmarrying action withawareness, movingforward inch by inch, andmaking a difference inpeople’s lives one day at atime. It is based on thepremise that one personcan make a difference, andthat when you changeyourself, you raise yourresonance, creating aripple effect of positivechange. You don’t have tobe exceptional. You don’thave to exert yourselfbeyond your means. In theend, all it takes is to do onesmall thing differently,empowering others withthe belief that they may dothe same.

RADA Inspire relaunches it’s
campaign for 2019 by hosting an evening
event at Café del Sol in Bryanston on the 7th of February.The event was attended by many of RADAs sponsors, thepress and key celebrities. Everyone instrumental inspreading the message of positive inspiration which willeffectively influence the lives of those who they come intocontact with. RADA continues to bring much neededchange to communities and the world at large byencouraging an attitude of positivity, empathy andkindness.
As Prime Circle head to Germany they take with themthe RADA Inspire message…of empowerment, creatingawareness across borders. Since their debut in 2002,Prime Circle have been one of the most celebrated rockacts in South African history. The band has touredextensively, performing at several major internationalfestivals over the course of their 17-year-career, andhave been honoured with numerous South African musicawards and have celebrated chart-topping hits.
The band has released seven studio albums which haveall achieved either gold or platinum status. Theiraudience has expanded to England and Europe wherethey are represented by a German agent and havesigned an international recording deal, performing atfestivals and their own shows throughout Germany.
IF YOU DON’T YOU NEVER WILL is Prime Circle’s 7thalbum, released worldwide in September 2017 with theirfirst hit off the album ‘The Gift’ receiving mass airplayacross South African and German radio stations.
“We are very excited to be working with Prime Circlewho have supported RADA Healing as well as the RADAInspire movement since its inception. 2019 gets off to an
energetic start withthe ERYC. Sixty five
members of the East Rand YouthChoir and a few energeticparents, joined this years 1500participants at the annual NeonNight Race hosted by ArwypMedical Centre and organised bythe Kempton Park Road Runners.The event took place on the 30th
of January at the BarnardStadium in Kempton Park.
The choir who were all dressed in their new RADAt-shirts, kept the pace with their singing on the 5kmroute through the streets of Kempton Park.Needless to say they attracted plenty of attention
from fellow walkers aswell as media whoattended the event.After completing thewalk and receiving theirmedals they gatheredon the field to furtherentertain while the lastof the participantsrounded the field andcompleted the race.
