RAD LAB presents Quartyard

By revitalizing a vacant lot using recycled retrofitted shipping containers, Quartyard, an outdoor sustainable urban park, gives San Diego something it doesn’t have, a unique and versatile gathering place. The 28,500sq.ft. eclectic urban plaza offers something for everyone and regularly hosts a variety of activities and events, creating a thriving community in Downtown’s up-and-coming East Village.

Quartyard is excited to host an outdoor beer garden, a coffee shack, an outdoor eatery, art galleries, a pet-friendly turf area, an event venue with regular performances, farmers and craft markets, rotating daily food trucks and onsite management. Open seven days a week, the plaza offers art and fashion shows, film festivals, educational events, farmers markets, and hosts public and private events. The marketplace also hosts great social gatherings such as local beer tasting events, fundraising events, private parties, urban explorations, pet-friendly events and so much more. The best part? It’s all outside!

We are proud to announce our tenants, Best Beverage Catering and Swine Bar, who are occupying the Beer Garden. With a full time staff, the retrofitted shipping container bar will serve local craft beer, wine and craft cocktails. Swine Bar will be serving an exotic sausage menu, along with craft beers on tap. All restaurant-eating areas will include a pet-friendly picnic area.

We have designed the entire park to host a wide range of public and private events. There is a 40ft. prep kitchen and an event catering station to service all event catering needs. A canopy structure is located inside the beer garden, serving as a shade system and acoustical structure when concerts take place. We have provided space for an event stage to be placed under the canopy with the ability to mount speakers, audio, and visual equipment; the canopy serves as a professional performance area.
