Program Associate (Government Operations)

We currently have an opening for a Program Associate in the Human Services business unit in our Princeton, NJ office. We provide

public sector consulting services, government program analysis and operational support, information technology (IT) security oversight,

federal/procurement and contract administration support, IT project management, and data analysis. We offer employees a stimulating,

This is not a programming, research, or systems engineering position.

Duties of the position:

Assists the lead Senior Security Auditor in the oversight and monitoring activities of a large scale IT processing system

including, but not limited to, the analysis and compliance of new federal security guidance and regulations, the review of third

party vendor security and non-security related deliverables, physical site evaluations, maintaining up-to-date status of security

items in government web applications, implementing a plan for recertification and reauthorization activities of the IT system, and

ad hoc system security activities as needed.

Actively participates in sessions and meetings with stakeholders including technical staff, Government staff, and third party

vendors. Troubleshoots day-to-day issues related to security requirements.

Provides weekly updates and briefings to Government’s security lead using graphics and easy to reference illustrations.

Coordinates review of security deliverables with the project’s security team to ensure quality and timely submissions to the

client.

Supports the project’s testing team to ensure compliance with data and security requirements.

Maintains the project security SharePoint websites, Microsoft Project activities, Excel spreadsheets, and other collaboration

tools.

Assists the Senior Security Auditor with project specific and company system security training programs.

Assists with other technical facets of the program as needed including but not limited to testing, requirements gathering,

developing new requirements for a successor system, and cost benefit analysis of new and/or revised security requirements.

Position Requirements

Strong educational background and a BA/BS in Business, Public Administration/Policy, Operations Research, Economics,

Statistics, Math, Computer Science or other discipline related to Government program operations.

Interest and familiarity with public sector IT cyber security and/or government operations/systems is desirable.

1-3 years experience related to IT security, business analysis, government program operations/IT system.

Experience with (or interest and aptitude in learning) Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Microsoft Project.

Strong organizational and communication skills and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team setting.

Ability to write in a clear and concise manner and work in a multi-disciplinary team setting.

Willingness to travel.

leading the way in providing health care research services to federal agencies, including the Centers for Medicare

& Medicaid Services (CMS).

We are seeking an intellectually curious programmer our various Mathematica locations who is passionate about

using data to answer research questions that influence decision making in U.S. health care policy. Individuals with

an interest in confronting the challenges of processing and manipulating large, complex data sets as well as a

desire to become a subject matter expert in health care data are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

Working with large secondary data sources such as Medicare and Medicaid administrative claims data and

survey data to effectively answer research questions about health care policy

Interpreting requirements and specifications to develop performance measures based on cost and quality of

care for evaluating the effectiveness of numerous health care policies

Using a myriad of data sources to provide a comprehensive and rigorous assessment of the potential of

creative ideas for service delivery and payment models to improve the health outcomes and well-being of

2. Select the “Search Jobs and Apply” link from the top-right navigation bar, then follow the directions to search available positions by position title, location(s), and/ or functional area(s).

3. When a position of interest is selected, click “Apply Now” and begin creating your application.

o A resume will be a required document that must be attached to

complete the online application process. o Many of our positions require additional supporting documents
