TENTATIVERecommended Tools and Equipment For installation and servicing of Sony Digital Cinema equipment.

Tools to be carried by the engineer• 3mm hex key - lamp locking• 5mm hex key - lamp XY adjustment• Philips screw driver #1 • Philips screw driver #2 (or Sony screwdriver)• 13mm socket (NOT spanner) to split projector• 17mm socket/spanner - lamp nut• 24mm spanner - adjustment the of the feet • 30mm spanner – lock nut on the feet

Equipment to be carried by the engineer• Wireless network device - Access point/hub, needed for setting up in the cinema• Network cable – 6m• RS232 serial cross-over cable (comms PC to PJ direct) 5m, and long extension into auditorium• USB memory stick (Sony 4GB high speed, for KDM keys etc) • Torch (flashlight)• USB hard disk 250GB or bigger, for test DCP’s, to carry out test ingest and play back tests.• USB extension cable, to allow connection to external supply power for USB HDD.• Laptop PC loaded with all Sony software and accessory software• Power extension cable/multiblock

Backup equipment to be carried by the engineer• Light meter (to set screen brightness, and/or shoot the colours)• Usual engineers tools – voltmeter, pliers, screwdrivers etc.• CAT5 cable tester• Laser distance measurement tool (Leica Disto or equivalent)• HD-SDI DL test pattern generator.• DVI Dual Link test pattern generator
