R12 BULITIN Launch SRS Form Personalization Issue

    MODULE:

    Oracle Application Object Library.

    SYMPTOMS

When creating a forms personalization that launches the SRS form, an LOV pops up that shows formsitems or a list of Forms keys when trying to commit the record or navigate to a new record.

The problem was the when creating a personalization to launch the SRS form, select the user friendlyconcurrent program name from the LOV attached to the function_name_disp field. The hidden field calledbuiltin_arguments is also populated by the LOV when selecting the user friendly concurrent program.

    name.

When trying to save the record the LOV for the builtin_arguments is getting raised because thebuiltin_arguements filed is not marked as valid.

    CAUSE

The fix was to code a WHEN-NEW-ITEM-INSTANCE trigger on the FND_FORM_CUSTOM_PROPS block. The trigger will set the status of the builtin_arguments field to VALID if the proper conditions are met.

    SOLUTION

    1. Download and review the readme ofPatch 13976273.

    2. Apply the patch to a test instance after performing a backup.3. Migrate the patch to other instances as needed.
