ATR VERDICT: XERES can improve upon his debut third over a similar trip at this track last month.For a 20/1 shot he ran some race on debut when storming home inside the final furlong to get to withina short head and a head of the winner. That run confirmed his ability to handle cut in the ground. Theform has been franked as the winner then finished third in a Group 2 at the Curragh, while the runner-up has landed a maiden in Killarney. Aidan O'Brien's newcomers Kyprios and Cleveland are obviousthreats. They both hold entries in the Group 2 Beresford Stakes, but Kyprios may be the more forwardof the pair as he also holds an engagement in a forthcoming Group 2 at Leopardstown on IrishChampions Weekend. ATR VERDICT: DANCE JUPITER's fitness has to be taken on trust but there is no doubt a mark of89 catches the eye. He hasn't been seen since winning a maiden at Cork, for John Kiely, in Octoberlast year. Several winners have come out of that race particularly the runner-up Patrick Sarsfield whohas since won four, including including a Group 3, before finishing third in Group One company inGermany. Dance Jupiter has made a big-money switch to Joseph O'Brien's stable. Interestingly,O'Brien also trains Patrick Sarsfield. Maud Gonne Spirit has won two of her five races and bothsuccesses came over a stiff seven furlongs in Gowran Park. She is going the right way. Roving Missionlooks sure to run her race. She got off the mark in an apprentice handicap at the Curragh last month.Nathan Crosse wasn't able to use his claim in that race, but can today and it almost offsets the 6lb risein the weights she received. Teed Up could be the biggest danger. He is unexposed after three runsincluding a victory in Roscommon last month. The step up in trip seems likely to suit him well. ATR VERDICT: IDEAL PAL has been given a chance by the handicapper after a series of unplacedefforts. This is a drop in class for him to 50-75 company after the handicapper lowered him by 6lbs to amark of 75. It is also a shorter trip for him, but he won over a similar distance at Gowran Park in June.In addition, he enjoys cut in the ground, and has a good low draw. Kartayaz could go well despite awide draw. John McConnell and Siobhan Rutledge had a winner at Navan on Saturday, and this three-year-old gelding has a good chance for them based on his last run. He ran on well in Bellewstown toclose to within a head of the winner in an extended seven-furlong handicap on heavy ground. He hasbeen dropped 1lb since then. Mulzamm and Joe Doyle are a good partnership. The ground wasprobably a bit deep for him in Punchestown, but on his penultimate start he powered home to win overcourse and distance on yielding ground. ATR VERDICT: ROYAL BLEND can build upon her runner-up finish in Leopardstown. She clearlycaught a tartar in her stablemate Earth Strike who beat her by two and three quarter lengths. Thatwinner looked useful, so there was plenty of merit in Royal Blend's effort as she only gave best in thefinal 100 yards. Jockey Dylan Browne McMonagle is good value for his 7lb claim. The 77-rated DameDandy gets first-time cheekpieces, and hasn't been beaten overly far in her five appearances. She haspicked up two runner-up rewards, so is entitled to be on the premises. ATR VERDICT: A good race. SNAPRAECEPS could reward each-way support. The four-year-oldfilly was fourth in a Group 3 at Cork and the horse a place in front of her franked the form by obliging ina Group 3. Three runs back she was runner-up in the Group 3 Munster Oaks behind a horse who hassince been Group-2 placed. Her form at this trip stacks up and the ground ought to be fine. With arating of 104 she is one of the main players. Mighty Blue has a mark of 106 after winning a decentfillies' handicap at the Curragh. The runner-up has since gone in to boost the form. Ennistymon is theother horse rated 106. She was runner-up in the Group One Epsom Oaks which entitles her tomaximum respect.
