R U STRESSED BY BITTERNESS?

Hebrews 12:14-15-“Makeevery effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without

holiness no one will see the Lord. See to it that no one misses

the grace

of God and that no bitter root grows up

to cause trouble and defile many.”

I.THE PET SNAKE OF BITTERNESS

II.THE FRUIT OF BITTERNESS

First, your root of bitterness will cause

trouble for you.

It will cause you physical trouble.

It will cause you emotional trouble.

It will cause you spiritual trouble.

Second, it will cause trouble for others.

III. HOW TO ROOT BITTERNESS FROM

YOUR LIFE.

Get the root out!

Keep it out!

Ephesians 4:26-“Don’t let the sun go down upon your wrath.”

Replace any bad attitude with a heart of kindness, compassion, forgiving everyone as in Christ, God forgave you.

Replace your attitude of scorning, with one of thankfulness to God.

Commit yourself to fulfilling God’s priorities

of worship, church growth, evangelism and

disciple-making.

Watch your tongue.

Stop fighting and quarreling.

Replace your complaining friends with

positive ones.

“God said there’s a seed that’s been planted in your heart. You either

hate and be angry or you forgive. I said I have to

forgive.”

I have to forgive.
