Elsie DorsettElsie was raised in Palestine
and Crockett, Texas, andgraduated from Kennard, Texas.After graduating from highschool, she went to Sam Houstoncollege and eventuallytransferred over to Stephan F.Austin. She graduated from SFA
with her bachelor’s degree inEducation. She taught inRaymondville and Alto, Texas untilshe became a mother anddecided to spend more time withher children. She married CarlDorsett and they were married for51 years; together they have twochildren and 2 grandchildren.Two of Elsie’s favorite hobbies arereading and listening to music.Elsie has been here since 2009making this year her ten-yearanniversary! We are very happyto have been her home for thelast ten years.

Clara SkinnerClara was born in Lufkin and reared
in Wells, Texas. She graduated highschool at the early age of 15 years old.From there she went to Stephan F.Austin. It only took her 3 years tograduate from college. She received adegree in Education. She startedteaching high school at only 18 yearsold and went on to teach for 30 years.
During her teaching career she taughtChemistry, English, and History. She alsowas a high school principal for 10 yearsand elementary principal for 11. Clarahas been married to W.L. Skinner for 59years, and together they have 4children, 8 grandchildren and 3great-grandchildren. We are happy tohave Mrs. Skinner with us at The Arbor!

However she found out thatshe would rather be on the moveinstead of doing paperwork, whichdrew her to cooking. She has a total of14 years of cooking experience.Anytime you see her at work she isconstantly on the move making sureeverything gets done correctly and ina timely manner. She was selectedemployee of the month for all herhard work!
