www.ibersystem.com
Ibersystem has been at the forefront of systems
development for solar tracking and solar power-
plant monitoring ever since government regula-
tions energized the sector in 2007.
Ibersystem is present in two fronts:
Development and integration of con-
trol systems for solar tracking devices
8 different models for 6 manufacturers of con-
ventional panel trackers
1 model for concentrating panel tracker
Integration of every subsystem in
solar power plants
Integration of every subsystem in a communica-
tions network built for real-time data acquisition.
Different linked and monitored subsystems:
Solar trackers
Inverters
Transformer stations
Master switches
Energy meters
Weather instrumentation
Distributed peripheries
Networks are designed to allow access to every
subsystem from both the control center and
remote stations, so as to be able to diagnose
problems, update software and carry other
tasks without having to go in person from one
device to another.
Working with leading companies in their respec-
tive fields: Endesa, Tcnicas Reunidas, ADES,
ISOLUX, GES, ISOFOTON, APIAXXI, ABAN-
TIA - up to 30 engineering and tracker manu-
facturing firms.

Due to the variety of systems installed in photo-
voltaic solar power plants, the sparse nature of
their physical distribution and the large number
of elements, IBERSYSTEM s.a. provides the
ability to gather states, alarms and energy
production information and enables remote
monitoring and servicing thus significantly
decreasing on-site maintenance cost.
Ibersystem renders its services on a turn-key
basis and supplies its clients with SCADA and
related software to manage the most common
tasks in a photovoltaic solar power plant:
- Exploitation and early warning.
- Maintenance.
- Engineering and development.
- Production and maintenance-related
data management and exporting.
The different systems integrated on a typical
photovoltaic solar power plant are:
- Inverters.
- Solar trackers.
- Energy meters.
- Weather stations.
- Uninterruptible power supplies.
- Main switches.
- Transformer stations..
- Diverse peripheral systems: intrusion,
ventilation, illumination, surveillance
etc.

Communication networks employing several
protocols and media.
When designing and implementing solutions for
photovoltaic solar power plants, the engineering
staff of Ibersystem S.A. sought to maximize
integration with Siemens products. Ethernet,
Profibus, Modbus, PLCs S7 and decentralized
periphery, segmenting and structuring networks
involving thousands of participants and dozens
of thousands of variables handled in real-time.
Based on Siemens TIA, the system allows PLCsoftware upgrades or diagnostic from a single
location, whether local or remote, saving signifi-
cant costs in maintenance and diagnosis for our
clients, while enabling us to offer better and
cheaper warranty.
It also negates the need to move physically
from one tracker or element to another for
anything but mechanically-related troubleshoot-
ing and maintenance, which can greatly de-
crease time and money costs in facilities such
as these, with thousands of elements spread
out over large areas.
Over 4,5 million in commissioned power
plants, with 45 S7-400 masters, 35 S7-300
masters, 350 ET-200S with and without CPU,
190km of fiber optic cable, 400km of Profibus,
50km of RS485, over 3500 solar trackers, 2500
inverters, 400 energy meters and 600 other
elements monitored so far have placed us in a
priviledged position in the field of control and
supervision for solar power plants.
