• County Update:– Mr. Surma’s Retirement / Dr. Hildreth’s promotion– We experienced a 10.5% overall funding decrease from

2009-10 to 2010-11 ($33 million dollar decrease from the 2009-10 budget)

– School budgets were reduced to$50 per student – was $65.

– 8 Furlough Days– ½ the Music / Art– Substitutes

• A subgroup is made up of at least 40 students

– At least 73.3% of students in all groups meet or exceed standards in Reading and LA (same as 2009)

– At least 66.7% of students in all groups meet or exceed standards in Mathematics (was 59.9%)

individual growth targets* in all academic areas each year.

*Individual growth targets will be set based on multiple sources of student achievement such as Common Formative Assessments, STAR, Georgia Writing Assessments, ALEKS, AR and/or GKIDS.
