MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
The Culture of
writing is a literary
habit that refines
the mind of a
student, brings up
the standard of a
class and throws
light on their
personality. News letter from BBA DEPARTMENT
named “DESALITE RENASTEREA” opens an ocean of
opportunity to all the Desalites who thrive to refine
themselves before they face the competitive world.
The genesis of this Newsletter, being the first one to be
released from the department brings in joy to the college
with its staff and students.
DESMA - Desalite Management Association
As an institute of higher learning, we at St Francis de

RENASTEREA - The Origin and Meaning
The Department of Management has named this
newsletter as "Renasterea". "Renasterea" is the French
word for Renaissance which means 'to begin anew".
Renasterea was a movement that deeply impacted the
This is a noble culture that the department has begun.
DESALITE RENASTEREA - would tap the resources of
Desalites, filter their character through their writing and
thus bring out the best in every being.
I, personally wish the BBA Department all the best and
wish that this sought of culture catches the fire of
knowledge as St Francis de Sales considers “Knowledge
as the eighth Sacrament”.
May all who contribute “Bloom wherever they are
planted.” Congratulations to the BBA Department on their
maiden achievement. May you prosper more.

A Poem for All Entrepreneurs
- Arvind Nada (II BBA)
The road to success is paved with tests,
So you ought to believe in yourself above the rest.
Dream big, and let your passion shine,
If you don‟t, you won‟t end up with a dime.
Challenge the status quo, disrupt the market and say YES!
And remember that innovation is an endless quest.
Don‟t forget to change business for good,
If you want to change the world then you should.
If you think with your head and listen to your heart,
I promise you‟ll get off to a flying start.
Make bold moves, but always play fair,
Always say please and thank you – it‟s cool to care.
Do what you love and love what you do,
This advice is nothing new.
Now, stop worrying whether your business will be a hit,
Rise to the challenge and say „screw it, let‟s do it!
- Manju James ( II BBA)
Hasn't it turned cold now??
But we’ll never be old enough
It's the time where the sun is setting back into its abode;
it will be gone before we‟ve finished drinking those extra
strong cups of coffee that we craved all day long.
The coffee isn‟t hot enough either. The sky will get dark
sooner, but we can‟t stand the in-betweens
When it‟s too soon to be dark yet too dark to be light but too
light to be comforting - It’s not dark enough.
And somewhere in the not-enough, we realize that we‟ve
become creatures of habit, that we sought comforts in those
and now, even that is not enough
We think back with a dull ache in our hearts (the ache isn’t
powerful enough for remorse) about where we went wrong…
as we look for answers.
- Sushma (III BBA)
It‟s madness…
To hate all the roses,
If you get poked, by one thorn.
To give up all your dreams,
If one didn‟t come true.
To lose faith in god,
If one player wasn‟t answered.
To give up all your efforts,
If one of your dreams failed.
To condemn all your dreams,
If one betrayed, you.
Not to trust people if one broke a promise.
Remember that
Time will bring,
A new friend, A new dream, A new life,
Never give up!!!!!!!!!!!
Because life indeed is beautiful [[
- Joyal Abraham M (III BBA)
Let's build a special world, for our good friends
A magical bond one cannot see,
Which shall engulf us in its warmth, Until our heart and soul
till eternity.
Let‟s hold hands and move together
Not as fake but as real forever in our way.
I don‟t even want to say I miss u
After graduation or after busy nights or jobs,
Those friends who cannot bear the scorching defeat
of their courage are grafted on to the earth,
That‟s how they make way for the mighty
but they are merely straw not friends.
My friends are my soul. Friends may insult and beat us
for no reason which is to make memory
In a puppets world where movements are started through
brainless wire, Repeated through mindless habit, bunking
class howling friends, Which make us to feel happy and
joyful, to stir into mimicry of life.
Life is Beautiful
Hasn't it turned cold now? My Friends

When Prime Minister Narendra Modi
announced that currency notes with the denomination of
500/- and 1000/- would cease to be the legal tender from 9th
of Nov, the whole country was stunned. This decision caused
sensation in the whole country. Social Media was flooded
with messages and information. People started counting the
trash they had accumulated for years - legally or illegally.
Rumours became rife. Some tried to invest their dying
currency in gold. Some contacted their near and dear ones in
this miserable hour. People could get only Rs 4000/- of old
denomination exchanged with the new one. Big lines became
the order of the day. Instead of getting shorter, these queues
were getting longer with every passing day. The last date for
the whole process was 30th of December. People could
deposit old cash worth Rs 2.5 lac till the said date.
The main objective of this move was to curb black money,
corruption and fake money menace. All the people but those
who were indulged in malpractices welcomed the move. The
whole opposition shook hand against this move under one
pretence or the other. They called this decision a draconian
law and wanted the government to roll it back. Tirades were
made to target the decision.
The new currency which replaced the old one is of
denomination of Rs 500/- and 2000/-. Though the people
faced a lot of inconvenience owing to shortage of funds, they
did not criticize the government for the move. The Prime
Minister also addressed the people many times telling that it
was a 'mahayajna' and they must offer their own ahuti in it.
He further said he was aware the hardships they were
suffering from but he sought only 50 days for setting the
things right. He jibed at the chief political leaders who had
stashed big amount of money and now joined hands to force
the government to take the decision back.
The most interesting thing regarding the demonetization was
that people devised various unique methods for transforming
their black money in to white one.
Some of these methods are as follows –
Depositing money in the accounts of their poor relatives
and friends.
Enticing the people with some percentage of money for
exchange.
Asking their employees to stand in the long queues in
front of Banks and ATMs for getting money exchanged.
Hiring labors for some Rupees ranging from Rs 500/- to
700/- for becoming the part of long queues in front of
banks/ ATMs.
Converting black money into gold.
Paying a few months‟ salaries in advance.
Paying back loans forcibly.
Using their influence / links with bank employees
What would be the impact of Demonetization on Indian
Society/ Economy?
The first impact shall be that people will have lower
expenditure power. With that they will not be able to
purchase luxurious things.
There shall be no ostentatious expenditures on marriages and
other ceremonies. So the society will grow lesser
materialistic and people more prudent. With the fake money
destroyed, Indian economy will see a big boom and the so far
booming real estate sector shall fall to the ground.
Things shall be cheaper. Indian Currency shall get respect at
the international market. There shall be a great check on the
terror-related funding and therefore on terrorist activities.
Corruption shall be down to a great extent as people will stop
the tendency of accumulating money using wrong means.
It will bridge the gap between the haves and the have-nots.
However, there may be some difficulties for a couple of
months. But this inconvenience shall be temporary and for
short-term.
