Spend a week at Polytech’s Summer EXCITE program testing out a
career. Choose from one of our exciting offerings and experience
cosmetology, baking and culinary, auto body, early childhood
education, graphic design and more. EXCITE summer program is
designed for students entering 6th to 10th grade.

TEEN CUISINEDo you want to be the next “Food Network Star?”
Start by learning the basics in a professional kitchen using proper
culinary and baking techniques, tools and recipes. Spend your days
whipping up tasty treats to enjoy.
EXTREME MAKEOVERDo you love doing your hair and makeup? Want to
learn style tips from a professional? Campers will learn the latest
trends in hairstyles, makeup application, nail care and nail
art.
OVERHAULIN’Do you dream of what your custom car will look like?
Start with an introduction to Auto Body refinishing this summer.
Campers will work on two personalized welding projects and spend
time in the paint booth creating a custom painted mailbox.
THE PITStart your engines! Learn about hands-on auto care and
maintenance from the inside-out in a state-of-the-art service shop.
Get your hands dirty working on engines, brakes, tires and more to
get a handle on how the family car works.
BABYSITTING 101Love kids and want to earn extra money
babysitting? Learn how to provide excellent care for young children
and earn an AHA Friends and Family CPR for Child and Infant
participation card. Campers will also gain a collection of exciting
activities and projects to engage the little ones.
SCRUBSWant a hands-on look at what a week in the life of a nurse
is like? Learn the fundamental skills in nursing procedures for
patient care, practice on SimMan (simulator) taking vital signs,
administering medication, and more. Campers will also earn an AHA
Friends and Family CPR participation card.
MY CREATIVE SPACECalling all artists! Explore traditional and
digital art by creating animations, illustrations, graphic design,
and package design using drawing, painting, and the technology of
today.
JOINT ADVENTUREYour love of sports could turn into a career in
the medical field. Learn how to take vital signs before and after
exercise, calculate BMI, and design a personal fitness plan. Learn
how to apply first aid for common injuries and earn an AHA Friends
and Family CPR participation card.
