Preface

A further CADISON release is available with the present CADISON Version. Extensive newdevelopments and further processing, special customer development and error correctionhas been under taken since the release 8.6.0.

The new CADISON functions must be known before the use by users and the CADISONsystem administrators, since with this an appropriate use of important changes can beunder taken in the projects.

Subsequent installation / uninstalling of a module

The setup supports the subsequent installation and thus the uninstalling of a module.The setup "CADISON" can be started through "Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add orremove programs" and "Change" can be selected. Please read the installation instructionsbeforehand. Further information is found in the document available on the installation-DVD:"CADISON_Installation.pdf".

Installing the network license manager (NLM)

#22405Units with Unicode sings / special signs

So far only the west European signs could be used for description of units (like e.g."Meter"). After this version it is also possible to use special signs or Unicode signs.

Note: It was necessary to change the internal database for this functionality. Due tothis reason, the existing databases must be first converted in the R9 database format.This conversion takes place automatically or the conversion program "Convertdatabases" can be used for that.

Definig a document object with alternative graphic

After this version CADISON is in the position to select an object graphic depending on anyproperties. Several graphics can be stored for one drawing type in case of one documentobject, and based on any one of the freely defined properties, CADISON can automaticallyuse one the graphics.

#21052Question of feature of revision documents

After this version, in case of documents, CAD drawings and reports, the following newproperties are available:

o P_lastrevisiono P_lastrevisiondateo P_lastrevisiondatetime und o P_lastrevisionuser

If in case of one the document object, the value of one of these properties is questioned,then all attached revision documents are determined internally from the document object.These are sorted as per date of creation (Property P_creationdatetime). The respectivefeature is returned from the last created revision date:

o P_lastrevision returns REVISION of last revision document.o P_lastrevisiondate Returns P_creationdate of last revision document.o P_lastrevisiondatetime returns P_creationdatetime from the last revision

#22661Internal file name comparison is now case sensitive

case, as it has been entered by the user (or as already available). In case of internal filename comparison, CADISON had evaluated the internally set file names differently andtherefore saves the new names, which pulls back further updates. Now at this point thename comparison is carried out irrespective of case.

New functions for tables and column filter

Some enhancements for the column filter / table filter are reconverted in the main table ofCADISON project engineer. For one, a list of three of the last used filters is directed per column. The last used filters are displayed in the selection list under the entries "All","Userdefined", "Empty" and "Not empty". If "Userdefined" is selected then automatically the last set filter, defined by the user isdisplayed in the dialog for definition of user defined filter, If in case this is still listed in thelist with three of the last used filters.

"Activate table filter" on: This entry in the context menu is provided with hook, if a filter isactive.

the hooks are removed while selecting the command and all filters in the table are reset. Thereby, which columns were filtered is stored (The names of the properties are stored). If this command is accessed again, then these columns are filtered anew. If the propertiesto be filtered are not present in the current table configurations then they are ignored.If a user defined filter is created, then this appears in the list of the last used filters with asyntax from which the parameter of the user defined filters are visible. The list of the last used column filter and the property name of all currently filteredcolumns is stored in the LocalCFG-folder in the file last.cpf.

#22507Other object sub-ordinated in the CADISON table

So far the command "Attach to another object..." was available only in context menu ofthe CADISON Trees or in extra menu of CADISON Project-Engineer. After this version, thiscommand can also be used from the context menu of CADISON table.

Table dialog can now be displayed in additional internal columns

Normally the columns to be displayed are specified in the table-dialog of the tableconfigurations. Now internally it is made possible to add additional columns per programming, at the startof the table.All other table functions must be by-passed. For example, these additional columns are not displayed when the current tableconfigurations are processed with "Configure table...".

Scroll bars in filter selection lists

After this version, a horizontal scroll bar is displayed in the selection lists of the columnfilter, if the entries of filter lists are wider than the selection window.

Filter lines in ListFromFile-selection dialog

The handling of filter lines in selection dialog of ListFromFile-feature has been changed.Filters are work only after second entered letter. Thus a long list can be filtered quickly.Additionally the filtration is optimized so that longer lists are filtered quickly.

#21241Selection of user defined table configurations

If a table is available in a dialog, a user defined table configuration is selected in thistable. Then the name of the selected configuration is stored on the computer permanently.The list of previously selected configuration appears at the start of the next dialog.

#21184New selection window for the date

After this version, a new window is used for selecting the date while processing the datefields. Furthermore, the window which shows the calendar is displayed in better way inWindows Vista.

Background color of filter selection list in table

After this version, the entries in the filter selection list of a table column is presented withdifferent background colors. The fixed entries like e.g. "All", "Userdefined" are displayed inlight grey background, the entries of the last used filters in dark grey and the standardentry in white background.

#22020Display of project name in search result

If specific objects are searched with the function "Find object..." using several projects /databases and the search result has objects of several projects / databases, then thesearch result is displayed in the table dialog, the name of the project is displayed in thefirst column.

Copying the memo text

While copying the memo text, internal control signs can be changed using the Memo-process-dialog in CADISON. If the original text e.g. contains only the control sign 10 for anumber change, the this is copied and entered in other memo-feature (Likewise againusing the memo-process-dialog), So far the number change is automatically changed tocontrol sign 13 and 10. This could lead to problems in a separate object comparison inCADISON.After this version, the clipboard is corrected in this reference. If a text is copied from theMemo-process-dialog and the memo-process-dialog is closed an automatic adjustment ofthe text is carried out in CADISON - clipboard. If a different memo-process-dialog isaccessed and the text is added from the clip board, then the original text is receivedwithout any changes.

PDF-Generation of XLS-files

After this version, the spread sheet "CADISON_SYS" is ignored while creating PDF filesfrom the XLS-files. The "CADISON_SYS"-spread sheet is automatically created byCADISON. While using the Excel report generator has the parameters of report generator.This information is not required in case of PDF-file and hence it is no longer present thePDF-file after this version.

Break the connection to database

There is always an active database in Versant, which is within the Versant database (notto be confused with CADISON defdb). Sometimes the connection to the default database isbroken by the system. Later this can take of internal error messages in CADISON.Therefore, a change was given here. If in case the system breaks the connection to thedefault database, then the system reconverts the Versant default database to CADISONdefdb um. Thus no more errors are actuated later.

New Versant Version

After this version, CADISON uses Versant 7.0.1.4 with patch 12.

PDF-creation for new Microsoft Office file formats

After this version it is possible to create new Microsoft office file formats ".docx" and ".xlsx" by CADISON PDF files.

#20906"Abort"-button in CADISON Tree-Dialog

If a CADISON-command for creating object selection displays the CADISON tree dialog,then there was a possibility to break the object selection since the dialog does not have aabort button or a close button. After this version, an "Abort"-button is available for mostof the commands which use the tree-dialog for object selection. Thus the CADISON-command can be aborted.

Display of attribute "P_project"

All objects return the project name for the attribute "P_project", where the objects belong.If this attribute is added manually in a table configuration file then so far this attribute isdisplayed as editable, even tough changes have not been stored. After this version theattribute is no longer displayed as editable.

Filling and numbering the unit fields

When so far, the filling and numbering dialog was accessed for unit properties, then thedialog offered only a new input line for entering a new value. No units were displayed. Sofar the user was to enter the used un it manually.Through the available update, one receives one more selection list for the units in dialogin addition to the input lines for the value, whereby the basis unit has already been set. Ifa value is entered and subsequently the unit is changed, then automatically the enteredvalue is recalculated.

Note: With the recalculation, the entered value is displayed with a different numberwith decimal places.

#20411Takeover of a dictionary entry

If in dialog "Language support" an entry is taken over as per CADISON and the entry endswith a space, then the space at the end is automatically removed after this version.

Simultaneous read access on Unicode-files

If CADISON has a reading access to the text files, then this happens in so-called Sharemode, so that several CADISON-applications can be read simultaneously in the same files(Like e.g. the central configuration files). This share mode however does not work if itdealt with a Unicode text file in case of file which is to be read. The error has beenresolved.

Automatic re-filtering while changing a column filter

If in the table several columns have been filtered and one column filter is removed, thenin the previous versions (before R8.5) all currently filtered columns were filtered again. Sofar only the column was re-filtered in R8.5, where the filter was removed. Thus, it couldhave happened that the content was displayed in other filtered columns, which were notaccording to the current filter.The performance is changed through this update. As soon as a column filter is changed(not only when it is removed), all the currently delivered columns are automatically re-valuated. Thus, the display is correct anytime.

#21840Issue of "Object description" in case of object locks

If a database object cannot be locked for processing, then information about this object isdisplayed in dialog information. After this version, the objects labeling is displayedadditionally, if the objects have the information.

#21189Take over of column width in the dialog "Modify table configuration"

After this version, the current column width is taken over while accessing the function"Configure table..." in dialog "Modify table configuration". So far the column width wasdisplayed in dialog, how it was originally defined for table configuration.

New function "Set property to default value"

There is a new command "Set property to default value" in the context menu for a feature.If this command is accessed, then the selected feature is reset to default value, as it isstored in the object model.If only one object is marked (in a table), the context menu entry is displayed only if theselected attribute does not match the default value. If several objects are selected in onetable, then the command is displayed in the context menu.

Size of the selection list in case of the table filters

The selection list displays maximum 8 entries in the table filters. After this version theheight of the selection list is directed as per the size of the table. If the table is high

enough, then up tp 30 entries can be displayed in the selection list. If the table height isless then the size of the selection list is adjusted automatically (reduced).

Allocating and removing catalog entries in case of locked objects

After this version, in case of locked objects (e.g. locked using the command "WorkingCopy - Add object-locks within the database" no more catalog entries can be removed orallocated.If the context menu is accessed on a separate object, then the commands are de-activated in the context menu. If the context menu is accessed on several objects in thetable, then commands are available, however no action is taken in case of locked objects.

Bug fixes

#23676Importing existing drawings as HookUp's

So far, if using a command "Import existing documents", it was attempted to create aHookUp-drawing, then a red color cross was found in CADISON tree for the newly createddrawing. This error has been resolved.

Abnormal end while selecting a deleted object

It may happen that an object is displayed in a CADISON application, CADISON tree ortable, which is already deleted in a different CADISON application. As soon as this deletedobject is clicked a message appears saying that the object has been deleted.In very rare cases it could happen that CADISON ends abnormally instead of showing thismessage. This error has been resolved.

Unicode-Database conversion

In rare cases there could be problems with the Unicode-conversion of old data. Especiallyin case of databases which were present in outsourcing / integration, it may happen thatthe Unicode conversion was aborted by an error.

Blank setting after integration

In some cases it may happen that a blank outsourcing setting is displayed afterincorporating in the original database. This error has been resolved.

Input of a unit in dialog "Edit attribute"

The dialog "Edit attribute" is opened using the function "Change attribute for this objectonly...". A different display unit can be selected in this. In previous versions it waspossible to enter a completely new text. If this text is not defined in CADISON as a unit,the CADISON can no longer execute any recalculations.Because of this reason, after this version, new text cannot be entered in the selection listbut only the existing units can be selected.

#22262Unicode signs in the selection list of table heading

In some of CADISON-Dialogs an old version of CADISON is used. The selection list of thesetables, which were available in the title of the tables using Drop down lists, were usingolder signs. This cannot show any Unicode signs.After this version, the same signs were used for the selection lists, which is also used forthe tables. Thus Unicode signs were also displayed in selection lists.

No icons in tree selector

While accessing the CADISON CCC-test, as a first function followed by opening of theselector and display of catalogs which was used last during the CCC test, the Icons in thetree of the selector are not correctly displayed. This error has been resolved.

The search function in CADISON Tree had only worked for the Tree function, where thesearch function was accessed the first time. If e.g. several tree windows have beenopened in CADISON Project-Engineer, the search works only for that window which wasfirst started in the search functions. After this version, the search works in tree for allwindows.

#22273Abnormal end while importing existing documents

CADISON could end abnormally while using the context menu command "Import existingdocuments", if this command was used more than once. As long as no project databasewas opened, CADISON ends abnormally while using the command the second. If a projectdatabase was opened, this command was accessed and subsequently exchanged on theproject, the a fresh access of the command could lead to abnormal end. After this version,the command can be used with any problems.

#22495Outsourced spread sheet cannot be integrated

If an outsourced database is operated on several computers before integration, then onlythe data of first operation can be integrated. In existing versions the integration processused to freezes while the complete setting was deleted. After this version, the changes tothe first operation are integrated and the other operations are ignored so that at least thesetting in the source database is deleted.

Afert thisversion, the process of catalog allocation can be aborted by selecting this option.

#21620Filter on "undefined" in table

If in a column the user defined filter was processed and thereby the filter value "--" wasselected, in most cases the filtering did not work correctly. After this version, the filteringis executed correctly on "undefined".

Dialog for "Find object..."Search routines can be stored and deleted in the dialog for object search. The safetyqueries or other notes did not have completed text till now, but only a code was given.After this version, the messages contain the complete text while deleting and addingsearch routines.

#23027Incorrect display in the selection list

If one CADISON feature is processed using a selection list, then it may happen that theavailable entries are wrongly displayed in the selection list. If the entry has a semi colon,then the entry is displayed as two entries. This error has been resolved.

#22661File name "<<overwritten>>"

If a document contains a file name in a project, which is already in used in the projectthen CADISON automatically sets this file name to "<<overwritten>>". After this versionthe text "[[overwritten]]" is used as the sign "<" und ">" [and] is not allowed to be usedas filename and therefore CADISON cannot change the file name. Due to this CADISONcould end abnormally.

Selecting a view configuration does not change the Tree-Text of the project

If a view configuration has been selected in tree or the table using context menu entry"Select configuration...", all display texts of the objects are updated according to thenewly selected configuration.Till now however the texts of the project object are not updated on the tree but alwaysUpdate Tree must be actuated by pressing F5. After this version the project-object text is immediately updated on selecting a different view configuration.

Calculation of DNMAX in case of pipelines

The feature DNMAX in case of pipelines determines the largest nominal diameter of allpipe runs. This does not work if the nominal diameter specifications were integral inchspecifications, like e.g. 20".

#23439Problems with UniCode in the ConfigManager-Dialog box

Unicode signs were not correctly displayed in the ConfigManager Dialog box. This errorhas been resolved in the current version.

Entries of file enhancement in CADISON.INI

If a file is opened with context menu command "Display file..." or "Open file..." fromCADISON, then CADISON searches a matching file enhancement in CADISON.INI. If noapplication key has been entered in case of document in CADISON (under the PropertyAPPLICATION_CD), then file enhancement is used. Thereby till now the file enhancementin CADISON.INI should have started with a point (like e.g. ".JPG"). After this version,point must not be entered.

There could be display problem even while activating anddeactivating the adding function, if some columns have been moved. These problems havebeen resolved.

Icon in title list of Memo-process-dialog

The Icon in the title list of the Memo-process- window has been drawn with an incorrectscale under Windows Vista. After this version the Icon is displayed with the correct pageratio.

#20850Incorrect filter in table without class selection

The filter does not work correctly if the table configuration was changed in a table wherethe class selection is not available. When the filter list was opened in a column, then thecontent of previous columns is displayed.

Problems with larger project databases with several objects

CADISON uses internally storage optimized function after a specific number of object in aproject database, in order to access the objects. These functions could cause severalproblems. So e.g. it may happen that the changes to project object were not written in thedatabase reliably or that CADISON ended abnormally with the error E3003. This error hasbeen resolved.

After this version, ".sat" or ".dwg" is stillattached, if in case the entered file name does not end with this file enhancement. Thuseven the file names like "ausgabe.test.sat" can be generated.

New archiving options

New options have been incorporated in Archiver. Now the following two additional entriesare supported in the configuration section [ITF_ARCHIV]:

If while archiving a database, an error occurs, then the database in CADISON tree ismoved in database group, which is entered in the line ArchivFailedFolder=, whereby thedatabase group is created manually.Using the AutoExpireTimeInMonth= it can be specified that the database is archivedautomatically. This database cannot be changed for the specified time. This option worksonly on the database server as the database server is directly checked for this purpose. Avalue of '0' (this means the default value) means that the Archiver does not search the olddatabase (Only the database from the Archive-folder is archived).The maximum size can be specified with the line MaxSizeToExportInMB. This line permitsa database with that it can be still archived. A value of '0' (which is the default value)means that the size is not limited.

Bug fixes

The files are reconverted to "Transfered to database" during archiving

The document was always automatically reconverted to "transfered to database" when itwas not read previously and if archiving a database, in case of a document, had problemsin reading or copying the file. There appears an error message that the document was notcopied and the archiving was aborted. However the document is subsequently on"transfered to database". The read status is no longer changed after this version.

Change of the database project folder through archiving

After archiving a database it is moved in CADISON-Tree (either in the database group forfaulty logs or in the recycle bin-database group). Thereby, till now the project folder waschanged by the database without however renaming the project folder. If project wasaccessed, CADISON was not able to find the project files. After this version the projectfolder of the database is no longer changed after archiving.

New keyword SUMHIDE for Word-Report generator

After this version the new keyword $SUMHIDE$ is available. This keyword adds up objectssame as the keyword $SUM$, however there is no output in the report. Thus, it is nolonger necessary to format the text "$SUM$" as "hidden" in the report form.

A FILTERSUB can be defined using the "P_treeobjects" during report query. Using thisthose objects which do not have sub-objects of specified types can be removed. It possible to use a property filter in a report pattern. It is possible to work with the wildcrads signs "*" and "?" within this filter. If these signs have been used, then the reportcould not have been created correctly. This error has been resolved through this update.

Reconversion of the container assistant from VBA --> C++

The container assistant has been implemented in AutoCAD under VBA. Since all sourceshave been reconverted to C++ and MFC, now only the container assistant was in line.In container assistant, it is possible to store a configuration of a container in a file. Here achange was given. Old files are naturally compatible with the new container assistant. Thefiles generated with the new container assistants do not operate in all versions. It couldend abnormally if used in old container assistants.

Updating all presently loaded drawings

If several drawings have been loaded in designer and processed in active drawingCADISON-Objects, then all presently loaded drawings are updated. During this process,until now the docking tree dialog was updated a number of times (for each loadeddrawing). Since while updating drawing is not necessary, this process is not executed afterthis version.

Display of definition of configured labeling

The current setting of labeling is displayed in just one line in the dialog to configure labels(general labeling functions). In case of longer definitions, only the start of the definition isseen. After this version, the setting is displayed in multiple lines.

If a layer name is defined using the object model, then a corresponding layer isautomatically created in AutoCAD and used accordingly. If e.g. in case of a pipeline a layername is defined, then this layer name is used for the graphical pipeline elements.Thereby, until now it is not tested if the layer name has characters, which are not allowedto be used in AutoCAD. Thus till now the objects are stored in the incorrect layer.After this version, the layer name is checked for invalid characters (The characters are <> / \ " : ; ? * | , = '). If invalid characters are present, then these are replaced by aunderscore _ .

Note: The original name database is retained, the name will be adjusted at runtime,only within AutoCAD.

Double copy dialog while copying objects

If objects are copied in a drawing by graphical selection, then depending on the selectedobjects a CADISON copy dialog appears, where the database objects which are copiedmust be selected. In some rare cases it may happen that the copy dialog appears again,after the objects have been copied (or have been added again). This error has beenresolved.

After that REFEDIT must be ended before AutoCAD is completed again.

If more than one matching title block is found, then the user mustselect one so as to end the plotting process.Thereby until now all layouts of the current drawing are analysed and not just the activelayout. If a different layout title block was available but not presently, then in spiet of thatCADISON asks for the title blocks which are to be updated. Since none were available inthe current layout, the user was not able to select any and thus the plot process could notbe ended. The Designer must be then ended in Task manager.

If in older versions of CADISON (prior to release 8.5.0) MEMO feature has beendouble-clicked in the table, then it is was always reconverted to input mode. This wasdone for read protected-MEMO features, since with that by activating the input mode, thebutton for opening the MEMO editor was available. Therefore the complete text wasdisplayed even in case of write protected MEMO features. Changes were not saved in caseof write protected MEMO features.In version R8.5.0 it was no longer possible to reconvert in Engineer main window in theinput mode in the table. From this version, the new error message "Invalid parameter for CRT function" appears onscreen in the Project Engineer in case of internal errors. The same message is alsorecorded in CADISON.ERR. Previously, the Project Engineer would end abnormally becauseof these internal errors, after this release the error message appears. Subsequently, theProject Engineer is no longer stable and should be ended as soon as possible.

Renaming of documents without enhancing the file name

While renaming the documents, the new document name should always include a filenameenhancement. the following rules apply while changing the document name:

1. When a filename enhancement is specified, then this is used.

2. If name no name enhancement is entered for the new document, then the file name

Diverse problems were resolved in the more window operation of Engineer within thescope of AKH specified version:

1. After starting the program, now 2 windows are opened in the AKH-version in thecorrect layout (30/70). The Tree in additional window is now sorted. Now in the leftwindow the structural view "not processed" is set.

2. 2 new windows are opened in the AKH version with the command "New Window".Now, only one window is opened correctly that one which lies exactly over theexisting window.

3. While closing one of these windows, an unsystematic part of the symbol list iseliminated. Now the symbol list is reduced only then when the last window isclosed.

4. Now the structural view a d the associated TOP5 lists are directly displayed andevaluated in AKH-Version after starting the program.

Refernce to LINK-Objects in the formula

So far it was necessary to use the name of the Link object in order to relate to a feature ofsub-object in a formula (e.g. the term "LINK1.P_name" refers to the feature "P_name" ofthe sub-object, which has been defined under "LINK1").After this version it is also possible to relate to a special sub-object using the link positionnumber. For this purpose, the new keyword "POSx" is added, whereby "x" must bereplaced by the position number of the link object.For example, the term "POS2.P_name" refers to the feature "P_name" of the sub-objectwhose link has position number 2.

Copy Catalog

After release 9, the user can directly create a copy or a revision of Catalog in MATPIPE.This new command was implemented in the form of a context menu in the new Catalogselection dialogue box.

New opening dialogue box

In MATPIPE R9, the standard dialogue box to open the Catalog was replaced by a newone. The new dialogue box offers a better handling and overview of all available Catalogsand its content. The Catalog can be represented in a list or a tree format. The user canimmediately see which objects are found in the Catalog by clicking a Catalog in the list.Furthermore, additional information like the Catalog labelling and revision is alsodisplayed. Using the user rights, only those Catalogs can be displayed in this dialogue box, where theregistered user orders the respective rights.

Now, the duplicate objects of all available Catalogs or all selected Catalogs can be updatedin MATPIPE with one command. The new command can be accessed from MATPIPE menu"Extras-->Update Replica". Besides, the command can be executed from "Commandprompt", when the MATPIPE is started with parameter "UPDATEREPLICA" . Furtherinformation is available in MATPIPE Online help.

#16031Language neutral attributes

In addition to checkbox "Multi Lingual" one more option "Language Neutral" is available inthe dialogue box for attribute features. This option can be activate only then when "MultiLingual" has been selected.Activation of "Language Neutral" results in display of attribute names in MATPIPE tables asjust one single entry, e.g. "Material (Language neutral)" and not as "Material (german)","Material (english)" etc. as until now. This means that the labelling in all languages issame and it is handled accordingly in MATPIPE as well as in CADISON.Maintenance of data for language neutral attributes is not necessary in CADISON

Back-up of sub-folders

After release 9, MATPIPE finds those Catalogs which are found in the sub-folders withinthe Catalog path. Closed Catalog folders are not supported, i.e. if a Catalog is found in asub-folder then MATPIPE igonres all Catalogs under it, if some more Catalogs are found inthe folder or sub-folders present in it.

#19903 User login and user rights in MATPIPE

Now, after release 9, MATPIPE has access adminstration. Each CADISON user can beallowed or denied the access to Catalogs and functions in MATPIPE by the CADISONadministrator. Each user who starts MATPIPE must login yo the CADISON system. He canuse a function in MATPIPE or open a Catalog only after successful login. Thereby he can use only those functions and open those Catalogs for which he has authorisation.The access rights for MATPIPE are assigned in CADISON user adminstration.Following three rights for MATPIPE can be assigned to a user:

o MATPIPE Administratoro Change Catalog structure o Datamaintence

The authorisation can be idividually assigned to each user.

The search function MATPIPE and selector

After release 9, a new search function is available in Matpipe and also in selector in orderto quickly find Catalog objects. In Matpipe, the function can be accessed from the menupoint "Edit-->Catalog ObjectFind" and in selector using the button "Find object". Thesearch screen appears using this command. In the search screen, one can choose theobject type and filter, define as well as specify in what Catalog the object search is carriedout, for the desired feature. The result is displayed in a list. If an entry is selected in thelist, then the datalogue is opened directly and directed to the selected object in tree.

Export and Import of a Catalog

In MATPIPE R9, a MATPIPE Catalog can be exported with all files and then imported to thesame or a different computer. The new commands can be executed using the menu point"Catalog-->Export..." or "Catalog-->Import...". These functions are implementeddepending on the user rights in MATPIPE. If a catalouge in CADISON domains has beenassigned with specific users, then it cannot be used overall in the domain, if same usersare not available in other domains. The new export function removes all authorisationinformation from the Catalog and subsequently packs up all Catalog data in anunrestricted zipfile "*.mpex". This file "xxx.mpex", can be imported anytime with the helpof MATPIPE Import function.

#14977 Name and description for a configuration

While creating a configuration, it is possible to give a name and description for thisconfiguration in MATPIPE as well as in Selector.Here Matpipe / Selector automatically assigns a defualt text for configuration description.The current user name, date and time is entered by default. If a user does not want to

save this information then he must manually change this text.With the help of this process, additional information desired by most of the customers isreceived automatically without further user interaction (Creator and creation date).If it is reconverted to "Configuration" view in Matpipe or in Selector, then configurations ofthe same names appear in the tab "000-Favorites" of the detail table. If a configurationhas been selected, then a window appears which otherwise displays main entries anddescription of selected configuration. "Edit Configuration description" from the contextmenu can edit this data.

#20859Process and change configuration

After this version, if a configuration in the detail tabel is right clicked, thenMatpipe/Selector checks if this configuration has a sub-object "CONFIGOBJ". If anything isindeed available, then a new command "Edit configuration" is displayed in the contextmenu. On accessing this command a dialogue appears to change the data processor"CONFIGOBJ"-Objects, "CONFIGOBJ". If the dialogue has been ended with "OK" , then anew sub-entry is stored in the Catalog for "CONFIGOBJ". "CONFIGOBJ" uses the newsub-entry.

Updating configurations

After this version, the context menu in tree offers a new command "Update configuration"in Matpipe and in Selector. If an existing configuration has been selected in"Configuration"-tab and reconverted to "Catalog"-tab, then the selected configuration isdisplayed as active in green. The configuration can be changed there (e.g. select othersub-elements). New command "Update configuration" can be used from the existingconfiguration in order to complete the change so as to overwrite the existingconfiguration. However, a new configuration can be stored with "Save configuration".Note: In case of active CCC-functionality, a new time stamp is created by updatingconfiguration, in case of main object and the name of the last operator is updated. Thus,the CCC test in CADISON can determine that the configuration has been changed. Theconfiguration can be automatically updated there.

Functions changes

#20531coloring of configurable duplicate objects in Matpipe-tree

Duplicates in Matpipe tree are always shown in blue. If it deals with a configurable object,then it is displayed in red as a normal configurable object. Thus it was not clear that itdeals with a duplicate.After this version, the configurable duplicates are displayed in a different color. Likewise anew color is used in tree for the configured duplicates.

Enlarge input fields

The input fields in the dialogue box to create a new Catalog are enhanced. This change isexecuted in reference to the change in release 8.0, where the length of Catalog search hasbeen changed to 65 characters.

Login name in CCC

The name of registed user in MATPIPE/CADISON is taken over as the login name for CCCchanges. If MATPIPE is executed in stand alone mode, then the windows login name isused as before.

Improvisation of processing of Assembly rules

An entry must be made in the dialogue box for processing assembly rules by doubleclicking in the bottom field "moved" so that it can be edited. But it was deleted in the listabove and should have been added anew with "Insert" after changing and moved to theold place with "Up arrow"/ "Down arrow".Additional to the "Insert" button a new buttom "Change" implements which changes of theselected entry serves in the list.In order to simplfy the processing of entries in this list, along with "Insert" button,"Change" button is implemented in release 9, which serves the changes of the selectedentries in the list.Furthemore the size of the dialogue box can be changed now.

#20458Sorting of attributes in the main table

A sorting function is implemented in MATPIPE main table, which sorts the attributes withinthe tab. The sorting is in alphabetical order.

Retaining the object codes while changing links

In case of CCC functionality activated in Matpipe, all matpipe objects automatically get aunique code. Until now this code was reset, if it dealt with a configurable object inmatpipe, in this case a link was added or deleted. After this version, the object code wasretained with addition or deletion of links. Instead of that only the internal time stamp andname of the processor is updated.

Commands for storing configurations

The commands for storing configurations in tree context menu is now highlighted in grey,after this version, if the configurable obejct has still not been completely configured. Thisis same in Matpipe as well as selector.

Bug fixes

#22462Importing '999999999' from CSV-files

While importing CSV-files (not only in case of CSV import, even for neutral import), it mayhappen that the unit fields of value '99999999' has been saved as '1000000000' afterimporting. This error has been resolved.

In the display tab for configurations, all features of the main object and those ofsub-objects (link-objects) are directly displayed in the detail table. When a sub-object isan optional sub-object and has not been selected for configuration, then the default valuefrom the feature definition appears in the detail table as value for this feature. After thisversion, the text "Link not configured" is displayed in the table.

Note: The text is displayed in red to cleary identify that it does not deal with regular text.In Matpipe red is used for showing errors, in this case however it does not deal witherrors.

#23311Cyrillic sign in parametric module

Until now Unicode signs like e.g. cyrillic signs were not used in the formula window inparametric module of Matpipe. These were partially displayed as question marks or theentire formula was considred invalid. After this version, even Unicode signs can be used informula input fields.

Duplication of duplicates

In Matpipe, it is possible to create new duplicates from the replaced data. Thereby, tillnow in target catalog, the references were partially created on the original cataloge,partially even on the catalog which has the first duplicate. After this version the entiredata of duplicates refers to original catalog.

Field ReplicaID_ is not filled in TGfxObject

When objects are duplicated in other catalogs, till now the field ReplicaID_ has not beenentered in the table TGfxObject. Normally, the record ID from the original catalog is to befound there.

#23231Transfer problem of graphic parameter while makeing object duplicates

In MATPIPE Release 8.6, there is a program error concerning the duplication of catalogobjects. I.e the graphic parameters are not transfered in the target catalog whiledupilcating the objects, if the name of source catalog was longer than 16 characters. Thiserror has been resolved in the current version.

Storing of configurations with CONFIGOBJ

When a configuration, which has an optional CONFIGOBJ, then a dialog appears where thethe data for CONFIGOBJ can be entered. If no data has been entered in this dialog thenan invalid configuration was stored till now, which was not able to be entered in CADISON.This errror has been resolved. After this version, storing such a configuration creates anew entry in the detail table of CONFiGOBJ-Object. This entry is uses the default valuefrom the object model. The configuration subsequently uses this new object.

Faulty error messages in parametric module

An error message is issued, when numerical value, which is outside the defined interval,has been entered in parametric module. Since R8, this error message could have signswhich cannot be read. This problem is resolved in this version.

Problem with opening two catalogs

One catalog is open and attempt is made to open another catalog.If the second catalog cannot be opened, then following error occurs in the catalog view:Now only the catalog tree can be seen. The fields for object class lists, master or detail listview and the preview is highlighted in grey. This porblem can ne solved only by openingthe catalog again. This error was resolved in release 9.

#19720Sorting in MATPIPE Report generator

The MATPIPE Report generator was until now not in a position to correctly sort the texts,which comprises of alphabets and numbers. i.e. it was sorted just alphabetically. Thus theresult was that the text "DN20" was larger than text "DN100". This error is resolved inRelease 9.

#21175Updating problem in MATPIPE Tree

Updating had not properly workd while entering the data in a newly created catalog. Whena new section is created in new catalog or the features at the section level have beenprocessed, then the desiredpresentation for this level is updated only after closing the treeor after quiting the catalog. If, e.g. a new object was created, then it could happen thatthe symbols for already existing objects in tree have been replaced by Quader or cylinder.This error was resolved in the current version.

#21382Drag & Drop error in MATPIPE Tree

MATPIPE ends abnormally, when one has moved a specification object in an open catalogthrough Drag and drop on the top most source object. The error has been resolved.

# 21261Abnormal end of program

MATPIPE abnormally ends while accessing an object if a property has been defined in thisobject and whose name had a point. In MATPIPE R9, it is no longer possible to define aproperty name, which contains a point.

Display of selected configuration

When a configuration is selected in selector and subsequently changed to tab "Catalog",then all modules of the selected configuration are displayed as configured. This meansthat all the configured links and the detailed table entries associated with it arehighlighted in green. The tree in selector can be redesigned by pressing F5 and thecoloring can be reversed.

Loading the current catalogue status

Till now it was not possible to get the current status of the catalogue in CADISON Selectorif in case the catalogue has been changed in the background. In CADISON R9 there is anadditional button "Reload catalogs". This command, like "Update index", also includes allcatalogues so that the internal "Selektor Cache" is emptied. Subsequently, the currentcatalogue status is loaded anew.

After this version the GROUP.FLG-files are correctly changed.

Till now it could have happen that the CADISON additional programs startalldbs,stopalldbs and emptylogfiles have changed the GROUP.FLG-files of the database and havenot been corrected till the end as after using these programs, a different content was to befound in the GROUP.FLG files. After this version, the original content was rewritten at theend in the GROUP.FLG-files.

NOMAT is marked as INVALID by DEFREAD

The value "NOMAT" can be entered in the object model files in the columnCATALOG_LEVEL. Till now DEFREAD.EXE infoms this value as invaild. After this versionDEFREAD.EXE identifies it as valid value.

#22607Correction of dupilcate connection points

While using the Copy&Paste function in AutoCAD, it may happen that in case of some dataobjects, the existing connection points may become double. These unnecessary connectionpoints are searched in database and deleted using this option. This option gives outcorresponding messages when unnecessary connections points were removed. In thiscase, the ITFTOOLS -XCLEAN tools must be used in order to ensure that the databasestructure is correct after removing the connection points.

ITF Dialog box

The ITF-Dialog box was renewed.

New option -RESOLVEDEADTRANSACTION [Log-file]

If during operating CADISON, project database is deleted, then in most of the cases it mayhappen that the so-called Dead-transactions are created. Through these dead-transactionsthe file logical.log always keeps getting bigger in the default-database, thus CADISONkeeps getting slower.These dead transactions can be resolved only when databases of same names are createdand the default database is restarted. Subsequently, databases created temporarily can bedeleted again.This option executes this setp automatically. -RESOLVEDEADTRANSACTIONS can only be executed directly on the server if no otherCADISON work stations have started a CADISON application.The parameter [Log-file] is optional. Here, the name of a file which is to be created can bespecified (including the path). The file is always created anew by this option and theessential specifications are retained.

New option -DELDBSINRB [Log-file]

Databases, which have been stored in so-called recycle bin-database groups can beautomatically deleted with this option. The option is executable only direct on the serverand no CADISON-applications must be active.iAny number of recycle bins can be defined using the entry in CADISON.INI, in section[PHi-CADISON]:[PHi-CADISON]RecycleBinFolder=1 recycle bin;recycle bin department 1;recycle bin department 2

If a database is not reqiured any more, then the CADISON user can move this in to therecycle bin without having to delete it immediatly.These databases are automatically deleted when the new ITFTOOLS-Option is accesse.Thereby it is ensured thatno dead transactions are created in the default database bydeleting a project database.The project folders associated with database are also deleted when the database isdeleted. Likewise the entries in CADISON-Tree are also deleted.The parameter [Log-file] is optional. The name of a log file can be given here (includingthe path). When a name is specified, then DELDBSINRB creates a new log file and recordsall the essential messages. An already existing log file is deleted.

New option -TRANSFERDOCS

After this version, ITFTOOLS offers a new undocumented option. With this option alldocuments of a project can be read or transferred in the database.The syntax of the option is:ITFTOOLS -TRANSFERDOCS <dbname> READITFTOOLS -TRANSFERDOCS <dbname> WRITE

The READ-sub-option reads all documents, the WRITE-sub-option transfers all documents.At the end of the process information containing the number of documents successfullyprocessed, how many had errors and how many were to be omitted based on these errors(e.g. "missing documents", which were not associated with the project).

After this version, the correction function of ITFTOOLS (e.g. -xclean) can no longer identifyand delete referred graphical representation, which were not connected other objects fromthe CADISON tree.
