Quizzes

From the Evaluation group, click on the Quizzes link to take an online test in NS Online. Your instructor may link to the quiz from the Content page in the course.

Some instructors require RespondusLockdown Browser to take quizzes and some require that exams be taken in the Testing Center. Your teacher will provide instructions.

Quizzes List PageWhen you click on the Quizzes link, a list of quizzes displays. They may be displayed by category, such as graded quizzes and practice quizzes, or may be displayed by availability dates.

Check the availability dates then click on the title of a quiz to begin a quiz.

Under the Attempts heading for each quiz, you will see the number of attempts completed and number of attempts allowed.

A red star next to an attempt number indicates that “You have an attempt in progress.”

Read the information on the Start Page then click on the “Start Quiz” button to begin the quiz.

Save Quiz Questions

You can save each question as you answer it or you can save all answers at the end of the test.

After saving responses, click the “Go to Submit Quiz” button.

At the next screen, click the “Submit Quiz” button.

On a third screen, click on “Yes, submit quiz” to confirm the submission.

View Results

To view quiz results after you close the test, go to the Quiz list and click the arrow next to the title of the quiz. Choose “Submissions” from the dropdown list.

Your instructor controls whether you will see quiz results.

On the Submissions page, click on the “Attempt” number to view the quiz results.

If the instructor has provided feedback for the quiz, an icon will appear next to the attempt number.

View your score

If you answered a question incorrectly, the incorrect answer is marked with a red “x,” and the correct answer is marked with a blue arrow.

If you answered a question correctly, the correct answer is marked with a green check mark.

If your instructor provided question feedback, you will see a link titled “view feedback.” Click on the link, and it will change to “hide feedback” and will display your instructor’s comments.

If your instructor provides general feedback for the quiz, it displays as Attempt Feedback. General feedback comments also display on the Grades page.
