iLoader is DDWeb’s integrated ETL (data extraction, transformation and loading), which is known for its great speed (minimum 10 GB/hour) and for dumping data from various origins in any format (Access, xls, txt, and from any database that allows a connection chain ODBC, DAO or ADO) into the Analyti-cal Repository.

iLoader provides a wizard to assist the whole process of shaping and defining the data origin, as well as the process consisting of generating instructions for data transformation.

Engineering tools make it possible to transform information, creating new fields from the existing ones and reorganizing the data model in order it to be nearer to the user. New fields will be ready to be analyzed and crossed with any other field instantly, with no need of cubes or metadata.

This way, the user breaks any dependence on the IT department, acquiring self-sufficiency and gaining usability and a better management of the application. The user adapts the field to his needs; not on the other way around, before starting to analyze data.

Physical and logical audit of big volumes of data

DDWeb speeds up physical and logical audit of big volumes of data, no matter their origin, checking how consistent the relatio-nal model is, identifying orphan and duplicated registers, inte-grating data from heterogeneous sources and enriching them.

It includes, on the other hand, advanced techniques for data quality and audit, such as Data Cleansing, Profiling, Standardization and Validation, in addition to Enrichment, Monitoring and Matching of sources.

Reliable registers: DDWeb loads and analyzes instantly millons of registers with analytical tools such as Pivot Table, Venn’s Diagrams, etc. Within a few seconds, it checks how consistent the relational model is, identifying orphan and duplicated registers, contributing to standardization of names, addresses, telephone numbers, etc.

Total agility: DDWeb shortens DW or DM’s launching process. Additionally, with Data Profiling it is possible to know how data are, minimum and maximum values, etc. in depth.

Constant correction: DDWeb allows data enrichment and engineering with treatment functions and puts sources Matching into practice in order to extract clean masters or business rules for new data loadings.

Physical and logical audit of big volumes of data

DDWeb identifies and extracts registers graphically -individually or from groups-, applies complex conditions, combines data in tables that are not directly linked, uses “%”, “*”, “like”, “include”, “if”, “and”, “or”, brakets, etc. with the aim of obtaining values or registers. And, furthermore, it selects random, 1 of n, classifies, obtains discreet values, generates groups, drags&drops, inverts, excludes, combines segments, filters, domains, saves, saves as, exports selections, etc.

As opposed to traditional reporting, Quiterian’s analysis indicators and dynamic dashboards show, present, publish and distribute information to interact with.

Reports, first of all, can be predetermied or customized; this means, created from zero from the results given by analysis, from the data model, from the organization’s needs, etc. And building them is as easy as dragging&dropping, using Venn’s Diagrams, funnels, any kind of graphic (Adobe Flash), maps, leds,...

Not only do DDWeb’s dashboards permit rotation of information in order to be displayed from different points of view, but they are also designed to interact with information. Users can interact with data, enrich the existing data or relate any non-predicted data. Other DDWeb modules complement this function, personalizing it even more. For example, with iWorkflow, it is possible to generate reports or to send them to one or more users systematically, in order to automate the organizations’ pro-cesses and to optimize resources. And those dashboards can be easily exported through DDWeb Office, which is 100% compati-ble with MS Excel 2010 and which can be also run in batch mode.

This module is totally functional, since it was designed to bring intuitivity and usability to business users. It helps non-technician users to load data from Access or text files, to export data and to establish relations between tables in order to build the data model.Through the Import module, small Access or text files can be loaded in the analytical database, making it possible to enrich the database with external data such as geographical data or information from a population research. Export, on the other hand, allows to create new tables in the analytical database from the existing ones in order to be able to focus on the analysis and/or use them as temporal tables during the analysis. It also allows exports to an external csv text file.

Dynamic Reporting. Personalized and interactive dashboards that show the results of the analysis graphically or detached.

Speedometer. Shows goal-acceptance thresholds and allows various magnitudes to be measured simultaneously.

Maps. Displays benchmarks’ information or shows thegeographical nature of analysis (churn, fraud, opportunities,...)

Quiterian DDWeb Office

DDWeb allows Microsoft Office Excel templates to be linked to Dynamic Data Web’s Pivot Tables, thus enabling the user to com-bine the power of DDWeb’s ad hoc analysis with the power of Excel graphics. Furthermore, it is compatible with MS Excel 2010.

This feature enables users to export information from Pivot Tables generated by DDWeb to a pre-determined Excel template. This template is linked to macros with pre-existing dynamic tables and personalized with the client’s own corporate components, so when an exportation from Quiterian DDWeb is performed, the Excel report data are automatically updated.

Furthermore, DDWeb Office can also be run in batch mode or, in other words, by task programming run at night, with no human intervention, on a regular basis, etc. Therefore, users find all exportations in a shared folder on a data server the following morning. This means it is possible to connect exports in mass mode by linking several Pivot Tables that will be exported sequentially within a single step to a template, thus obtaining several sources in one Excel workbook.

Security. Personal and corporate data protection

Security is a priority for Quiterian. Because of this, DDWeb Security Manager, the specific security module, manages the access to objects or records from databases, controls priviledges on users’ functionalities, manages passwords’ policies and actions of maintenance.

The access to the application is, on the one hand, 100% secure, since the only limit is fixed by the administrator, who plays the main role, since he/she distributes the access logs, manages groups of users, etc. This management system is the most suitable in order to ensure personal and corporate data protec-tion, and it is designed for all the environments. However, it is essential for highly sensitive sectors (health, police, banking,…)

On the other hand, there is no doubt that data being explored and analyzed do not suffer any bias nor changes and they are therefore treated under strict controls, since information is stored inside the user’s own organization, without third parties’ servers. This means, data are kept in the user’s own resources and rest under their control.

To sum up, the resulting security matrix, the strict control of per-sonal data and multiple levels of protection, ensure security and privacy of information every moment.

SAP Connector

This module enables automatic load plan generation so that data can be transferred from the SAP R/3 to the Dynamic Data Web repository with no need for a prior definition. With this connector, loading SAP data in DDWeb is as easy as setting an ODBC connection and running the connector. The entire infrastructure is automatically made ready to load SAP data in DDWeb in an error-free and previously tested process.

Quiterian DDWeb is a BI platform aimed offering its users the maximum intuitivity and usability for a unique experience and efficient usage.

This way, users can customize the platform depending on their likes and needs and make any adjustment to prepare the final scenario for data exploitation. For example, making language changes (it is multilingual), managing groups of users, styles, sources, logos, margins, etc.

Administration’s main page, divided into four modules, provides the appropiate instructions for:

Security: This module permits managing access to objects or registers on the database, controlling priviledges on users’ functionalities, managing password’s policies and maintenance actions. In other words, Quiterian ensures a secure access to information and, additionally, personal and corporate privacy.

Users’ management: This is the module inside the applica-tion that enables the administrator to manage DDWeb’s users and to establish security levels. Users’ management makes it possible to organize users in the repository. In an environment that has been integrated with LDAP, this procedure will never disturb objects from the active repository they are linked to.

Groups of users’ management: DDWeb manages groups of users who, due to their position in the organization, are sensitive to share analysis between each other. Apart from guaranteeing security in all platform’s processes, this module helps establish workflows and optimize resources.

Maps’ administration: DDWeb allows its users to define map analysis, displaying the information on a geographical file. For example, they can be used to show the grographical

origin from churners or the areas where orders of a specific family of products are sold the most. This module manages files from the server that will be used as a basis for maps in the analysis module. Those files must follow the standard SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) for vectorial graphics’ descriptions.

Styles’ management: This option allows users to manage styles of RTF’s reports, which are generated from the platform.

Connections’ management: Users will be able to monitor the existing connections against the analytic engine, to know in which conditions each one of the connections is and to make requests to delete obsolete connections, for an integral ma-nagement and maintenance. The connections page shows for each one of the servers in the farm, the existing connections in the pool and the conditions of each one of them. Next to the name of the server, moreover, there is an icon, which informs on conditions in detail.
