In the fall of this year, the Colorado State Board of Accountancy will be conducting CPE audits for the 2016 - 2017 CPE year. Certificate holders are responsible for accurate reporting and documentation of all CPE hours completed and must retain documentation for a minimum of 5 years from the end of the year in which the CPE was completed. Documentation must be submitted to the Board upon request. IF YOU ARE AN ACTIVE CERTIFICATE HOLDER, PLEASE USE THIS CHECKLIST TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE COMPLIANT:

Section 7.3 of the State Board of Accountancy’s Rules lists the acceptable field of studies for your reference. Additionally, section 7.4 provides further details on rules to claim CPE credit for teaching, panel presentations, publishing, college coursework, and specialized programs. You may visit colorado.gov/pacific/dora/Accountancy for additional rules and regulations.
