Quicken and QuickBooks Deactivating/Reactivating Your Discover Card or Bank Account

NOTE: Direct Connect: Account Deactivate/Re-activate is required. Instructions for Existing Quicken MAC account with credit card or bank accounts enabled for DC online access:

(1) Right-click existing QMAC credit card or bank account and select Edit Account Settings.

(2) While in Account Settings select Troubleshooting.

(3) Select Deactivate Downloads and click Save.

(4) Your QMAC credit card or bank account is now deactivated.

(5) Follow the steps to enable your credit card or bank account for online access. (Such as select your financial

institution and then enter your login credentials)

(6) While in the Account Found dialog box, link downloaded credit card or bank account to your existing Quicken credit card or bank account.

NOTE: For QuickBooks MAC Direct Connect and Web Connect Account Deactivate/Re-activate is required. Instructions for Existing QBMAC account with credit card and bank account enabled for Direct Connect online access:

(1) Once credit card or bank statement download has been completed, accept transactions to the register.

(2) In QuickBooks/Lists menu, choose Chart of Accounts submenu and select your credit card or bank account. Right-click selected account and select Edit Account from the submenu.

(3) In Edit Account, click the Online Settings.

(4) While in Online Account information dialog box, select Not Enabled in the Download Transactions drop down menu.

(5) Confirm Account Deactivation by clicking OK in the pop-up warning.

(7) Now, go back to Account Setup and follow the steps to enable your credit card or bank account for online access.

(8) In the Online Banking Assistant dialog box, link downloaded credit card or bank account to existing QBMAC credit

card or bank account.

********************************************************************************* Instructions for Existing QuickBooks Mac account with Credit Card or Bank Account enabled for Web Connect online access: (1) Once Web Connect credit card or bank statement download has been completed, accept transactions to the

register.

(2) In QuickBooks/Lists menu, choose Chart of Accounts submenu and select your credit card and bank account. Right-click selected account and select Edit Account from the submenu.

(3) In Edit Account, click Online Settings.

(4) While in Online Account Information dialog box, select Not Enabled in the Download Transactions drop down

menu and click Save.

(5) Confirm Account Deactivation by clicking OK in the QBM pop-up warning.

(6) Download Web Connect .QBO file and save it to the desktop. Then, import downloaded WC.QBO file into QBMAC.

(7) In the Online Banking Assistant dialog box, link downloaded credit card or bank account to existing QBMAC credit

card or bank account.

NOTE: Quicken MAC Web Connect- No Account Deactivate is required. While QMAC already contains credit card or bank account downloaded via Web Connect method: (1) Perform Web Connect .QFX file download and save it to the desktop.

(2) Import downloaded Web Connect .QFX file into Quicken.

(3) In QMAC Account Found Dialog box link downloaded credit card or bank account to existing QMAC credit card or bank account.
