Important!– This set can only be operated after thesupplied DIN cable has been connected.

Tips– For connecting to a Progressive ScanTV, refer to the user manual for properconnections and detailed setup.

Connect the speaker wires of the right speaker and subwoofer to the

left speaker.

Connect the left speaker and the DVD player by using the supplied

DIN cable.

Connect the DVD player to your TV using the supplied composite videocable.

Connect the VCR or cable/satellite box to the TV system. Connect AUXIN 1 jacks to the AUDIO OUT jacks on the VCR or cable/satellite box.

2Connect the supplied FM wire antenna.

Setting up the TV

Press SOURCE on the set (or DISC on the remote) to select disc source.

Turn on the TV and set it to the correct Video In channel.

A To listen to TV channels through this system, use theaudio cable (white/red, not supplied) to connectAUX IN 1 (L/R) jacks to the corresponding AUDIOOUT jacks on the TV set.

B To listen to TV channels through this system, use theaudio cable (white/red, not supplied) to connectAUX IN 1 (L/R) jacks to the HEADPHONE jack onthe TV set.● Before starting operation, press AUX1/2 on theremote control to select “AUX 1” to activate theinput source.● See the User Manual for other TV connection options.

AC Power Cord

Setting DVD menu optionsIMPORTANT!If the progressive scan feature is activated but the connected TV does not supportprogressive signals or the video cables are not connected accordingly, see the usermanual for proper progressive scan setup or deactivate the progressive scanfeature as below:1) Turn off your TV progressive scan mode then turn on to interlaced mode.2) Select “OFF” in PROGRESSIVE menu of the system setup menu to turn offprogressive scan, then press SYSTEM MENU on the remote to exit the systemmenu.Or To turn off progressive scan, you may also first press OPEN/CLOSE open thedisc door, then press 1 on the remote control, and press AUDIO on the remote.

In standby or any source mode, press and hold CLOCK on the remote control.The clock digits will be lighted on the display.

Press ¡ / ™ on the set repeatedly to set the hours.

Press à / á on the set repeatedly to set the minutes.

Playing a disc

Push OPEN /CLOSEç to open the disc door.

Load in a disc with the label side facing up, then close the disc door.

Playback will start automatically. If not, pressÉÅ.

To stop playback, press 9.

Programming and tuning to radio stations

Press SOURCE (or TUNER on the remote) to select tuner source (FM).

Press and hold PROG on the set (or on the remote control) until “ START ” appears onthe display panel. The system starts to program all available stations in order of waveband.

Press ¡ / ™ until the desired preset station is displayed.

To switch on the system,press STANDBY ONB orSOURCE on the set, orDISC, AUX1/2 or TUNERon the remote.

Notes for the remote control:– First, select the source you wish tocontrol by pressing one of the sourceselect keys on the remote control(DISC or AUX1/2, for example).– Then select the desired function( 2;, í, ë for example).
