Quick Reference Card For Kodak Carestream PACS V11.4.0 Logging on to PACS Click on the PACS shortcut button on the clinical intranet home page. It will take approx 10 seconds for the login screen to appear Your login will be supplied after you have attended PACS training. The login is not case sensitive, but the password must be entered in lower case. Your password should be between 6- 15 characters and contain a letter and a number, your password will need reset after 90 days. Searching and Filtering Data To search for data in the archive explore 1. Double click on search 2. Click in the box below Pt ID to make cursor appear Type in the patients CHI number,or DOB ddmmyy. If you wish to search by patient name format is surname, first name (no spaces). 3. Press return, then highlight the study you require and double click to load. Archive Explorer Toolbar Opens the Radiologists report for the study you are in at present. Opens the Patient Mini Archive contains patients radiological history on PACs. Changes the mouse tool to a non-functional pointer. Activate this button and hold down left mouse button on an image to use a digital magnifier. Layout tab lets you choose how many images within a study you view at any one time. Allows you to change the brightness/darkness and greyscale of an image. Clicking on forward arrow allows cine play of a series of images Returns image to original settings Closes the image viewing window and takes you back to Archive Explorer to make another search. Opens the Archive Explorer whilst putting the study you are viewing to the background. Zoom tool (default pointer). Click on mini arrow for more zoom options. Press shift key to pan image. Choose how many studies you view on your screen at any one time. Enables the user to add and read sticky notes to a study. Inverts the windowing (changes dark to light and vice versa) Click on the mini arrow – options for annotating an image and making measurements are available. Shortcut Keys W = Windowing, P = Pan, Z = Zoom Alt+F2 = Log Out, Ctrl+F = Reset All Ctrl+H = Hide Annotations Ctrl+Y = Delete all Graphics Ctrl+M = Magnify, Crtl+O = Mini Archive
