Before Getting StartedThe WL-700N-MRT is a Windows and MAC OS X compatible Wireless802.11n 150Mbps USB2.0 Adapter. The Mini CD that accompanies theproduct may not work in Slot Loading CD/DVD Drives and may not containthe up-to-date MAC Drivers. Please read further on for information on howto locate and install MAC Drivers.

NOTE: Please make sure you have Administration Rights onyour MAC before installing the Wireless Drivers.

MAC OS X Supported VersionThe WL-700N-MRT uses the new RealTek RTL8188SUchipset. Currently, this is for 10.4 and 10.5

NOTE: Please make sure you have the latest MAC OSX System updates installed, via the 'Software Update'utility.

1. Download the Drivers firstThe latest MAC OS X Driver and Software Utility can bedownloaded from the following website:

www.dynamode-drivers.com(select Wireless Devices, then Wireless USB, then the PartNumber: WL-700N-MRT, then click on the 'MAC' Link

NOTE: The file is saved as a compressed .rar file format.This will need to be uncompressed using a MAC rarutility such as www.unrarx.com

3. Select the RealTek installerPlease click the directory labelled 'RealTek 11n USB MacOS..'

Now, double-click the file 'installer.pkg. Once clicked you willbe presented with the following screen setup”

Please click 'continue' to proceed with the installation. Youwill be presented with further configuration information,click 'continue' again to agree the T&Cs of the RealTekutility.

2. Selecting the Downloaded DriversOnce the .rar file is uncompressed, it will be put into a directorynormal on the Desktop, called 'MAC' When this directory is entered,it will show the following:

(select your version of MAC OS X, if you are running 10.6.xplease select the 10.5 Driver directory

4. Select the DestinationYou will now be asked how you want to install the software, forexample 'all users of this computer'. Either change this or click'install' to proceed with the installation:

6. Plugging in your Wireless USBOnce rebooted, locate a suitable USB2.0 port on your MAC.Carefully install the WL-700N-MRT. Once connected and ifinstalled correctly you maybe presented with the following:

NOTE: Please make sure your Wireless USB adapterradio is 'On'. Confirm this by the button at the bottomright of the Window.

7. Searching for Wireless NetworksClick on the 'Available Network' tab within the WLAN ClientUtility. From here you can can connect to available WLANs ifyou wish:

5. Finishing the installationFinalization of writing files and optimization will nowproceed and take around 2 minutes. When completed youMUST restart your MAC. Please click the 'restart' button toreboot:

NOTE: You may need Administrative Rights to continuethe installation. Please have your Username andPassword available.

If you wish to add a new WLAN, click 'Add profile' andsetup the WLAN, you should use Wireless Encryption asthis will enhance Wireless security.
