PREPARING MODULES FOR INSTALLATION

1. Attach cable clips to the frame as needed and secure cable in clips.

2. Remove one serial number sticker from the mid-cable junction and place it on the array map.

Additional accessories recommended for installing AC modules: • Transition cable (M, F) • Extension cables (M-M, M-F, F-F) • Cable clips

ROOF-READY AC MODULE

1. Remove the protective cover from the transition cable and attach the cable to the isolation switch box or other electrical work box:

• Top call-out shows 4-wire cable

• Bottom call-out shows Australian 3-wire cable

2. Plug the first module into the connecting cable. Both the Global and Australian connectors are shown here. Continue connecting subsequent modules to the end of the row.

INSTALLING SOLARBRIDGE POWER MANAGER

1. Attach the Power Manager’s mounting bracket to the wall.

2. Remove access cover and AC terminal block cover.

3. Hang the Power Manager on the bracket and secure with screws.

4. Connect AC wiring to the Power Manager following all national and local standards. This box is non-metallic and does not require an earth con-nection.

5. Ensure the power cable for the Power Manager is properly protected in conduit, or a strain relief connector is installed in the knockout to prevent physical strain on the electrical connections.

6. Reattach the AC terminal block cover.

7. Wire the Power Manager to a dedicated SPST (single pole / single throw) breaker in the same switchboard to which the solar array is wired. If the Solar Main Breaker is rated for “double lugging,” installers can connect the Power Manager conductors to the AC module branch circuit breaker and neutral bar in the switchboard.

8. Remove the Consent to Share label, and show it to the site / system owner for permission to connect the Power Manager to the internet.

9. Plug the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port.

10. Plug the Ethernet cable into the network router or appropriate wireless device.

11. Replace the Power Manager access cover and power on the Power Manager.

Before you begin commissioning the site, familiarize yourself with the menus available from the Power Manager’s LCD.

DISCOVER MODULES

Following startup, which takes approximately 5 minutes, the Power Manager's LCD displays the home screen. When the Power Manager has an Internet connection, the right side of the home screen displays “COMM”. The current time is acquired from the Internet.

To establish communications between the Power Manager and the AC modules, select OPERATIONS DISCOVER NEW in the LCD menu.

When NEW reflects the number of installed modules, you can stop the discovery phase. Wait for wrap-up (5 minutes) and module configuration to complete.

Depending on the size of the array, discovery can take up to 60 minutes.

The home screen reports the current power production, the number of modules that reported/the total number of known modules, and whether an Internet connection exists.For use with software V3.1

If the Power Manager is not connected to the Internet, you must set the date and time using OPERATIONS SET DATE/TIME.
