We’re on hand from 9am to 5pm Mondays to Fridays
What do we do?• Buy core texts on reading lists for
Parts Ia and Ib
• Buy other books on request
• Provide advice on accessing electronic resources and other libraries
• Help with any general enquiries relating to the resources you need to support your studies
We also provide ...• PWF terminals (for internet access, word
processing etc.)• Printing, copying and scanning facilities
As well as books, we have ...
• A selection of journals
• A general interest section (fiction, study guides, cook books etc.)
• DVDs for loan
There’s also lots of music, including ...
• A large collection of sheet music and scores
• A music hire library providing free access to orchestral and vocal sets for Christ’s students
For medical students, we have a skeleton!
Accessing the library• Access is by university card, swiped
on the reader at the library entrance
• Your university card doubles as your library card
• You are automatically registered for borrowing at Christ’s
• You will need to register separately with your faculty library and the university library
Your library account is only activated after you attend a
tour!
Borrowing• You can borrow 15 items for two weeks• Books can be renewed three times• Books may be recalled by other users• Fines are 25p per day or 50p per day if the
book has been recalled• Check your @cam email address regularly for
reminders and other messages from the library
Our self issue system allows you to borrow and return books 24 hours a day
To find books, use LibrarySearch http://search.lib.cam.ac.uk
To check your account and renew books, use Library Search

To log in, click on “My library account” and enter your details
If we don’t have a book you need, please suggest it!

Comfortable seating and spaces for eating and chatting are available in the corridor
below the library
Lockers are also available
• Keys available from the library issue desk
• Issued for an academic year• £35 charge if you fail to
return your key and / or empty your locker by the last day of term
• £15 charge for loss of key during the year

• We have a separate Law Library
• It’s open 24/7 to law students
• Access is by university card
• Contains law periodicals and study spaces
• Law books are in the main library
There’s also the Old Library (also known as the Bodley Library)
