Quick Guide to Generating Score Extracts

This quick guide explains how you can extract scores and key biographical information for the Oasys platform.

How to Generate Score Extracts

- Score extracts may only be generated for candidates who have completed their task and where the reports have been generated either manually or by automatic generation.

The Score Extraction page will now appear.

The reports and norm groups which have been used to generate reports for candidates will be listed. All reports are selected by default, but you can choose to de-select reports, as required.

The ‘Generated Reports’ column shows the number of candidates for whom this report, and specified norm, has been generated.

The ‘Ungenerated Reports’ column shows the number of candidates in the project for whom a particular report, with specified norm group has not been generated.

The score extracts for these reports will show as ‘InProgress’ until the extract is available to view.

• The time it takes an extract to be generated varies. The requester will be notified by email when the extract is ready to view.

• You will need to log back into Oasys and find the project you requested the extract for. Select ‘Extract Scores’ from the Options menu. Then select ‘Generated Extracts’ from the Options menu on the next page.

• Any completed extractions will be displayed in the list with Status as ‘Complete’

• Select the Excel icon to download the scores extract to a .csv file, which can automatically be opened in Excel.

• Score Extractions will remain available for download on the ‘Generated Extracts’ page for 7 days, after which it will no longer be displayed in the list.

• Log in to the Oasys platform and open the ‘Projects’ tab Find the project for which you wish to extract the scores and click on the ‘view project details’ icon

• Select ‘Extract Scores’ from the Options list. This link will only be available if at least one report has

been generated within the project, if not the link is unavailable.

• Once you have selected the reports for which you wish to extract scores, click on the ‘Extract Scores’

button.

The Scores Extract

There will be one row of information and scores per candidate, even for multiple reports.

User Details - The first columns in the spreadsheet are of the user’s details, including the following: • Username• Email Address• First Name• Last Name• User Culture

Report, Instrument Definition and Normset - After the biographical information the Report name, Instrument definition and Normset will be displayed.

Date Generated - This is the date that the report was generated.

Scores - The scores displayed in the report that have been made available for extraction, will be exported. The column headings for scores contain the score name and type, for example:

Verbal Raw Sten / Driving Success Nipsative Sten

Mixed reports and instruments - If there are mixed reports and/or instruments, there would be one set of scores after the other. If scores are not available for some candidates then the lines would be blank.

Please note - If a candidate has been reset but has not completed the reset task, you will be advised accordingly by the platform when a scores extract is requested. If the reset task has been completed and report(s) generated, the reset scores only will appear in the scores extract.

To View a Previously Generated Scores Extract

• Log onto the Oasys platform and open the ‘Projects’ tab.

• Select ‘Extract Scores’ from the Options list.

• Select ‘Generated Extracts’ from the Options list.

• All Scores Extracts that have been generated in the last seven days by any user will be listed.

• Click on the icon to open or save.
