Operating Instructions of Diagram II Flash version (XML II swf) Service Manual Supplement of Quick Guide

1.1. Introduction Further improvements and additional functions (memo function, drawing batch print function, etc.) in the XML II swf (for drawings) are incorporated in the XML II too. Browsers other than the Internet Explorer can also be used. If you use the system for the first time, see also the existing Quick Guide.

Installing and setup of the Flash Setting Tool is required for downloading and viewing on your PC Diagram II Flash version data from the TSN website.

1.2. Installing and setup procedure of Flash Setting Tool

1. Access the TSN Japan site and open the Related Link page. (Caution: Confirm the linking destination with your TSN Server

2. If accessing the TSN Japan site, double-click the Flash Setting Tool icon in Viewing Tools to begin the download.

downloading and viewing Diagram II Flash version data from the TSN website.

The icon of Diagram II Flash version is displayed as follows in the Contents List screen of the TSN website.

3.1. Memo function

3. New Functions for Diagram II / Parts List: Memo Function #

Registered information: - User name: Registrant - Title: Phenomenon, etc. - Model No.: (automatically assigned) - Order No.: (automatically assigned) - Document ID: (automatically assigned)- Document No.: (automatically assigned)- Memo: Repair methods, know-how, etc.- Date: Date of registration (automatically

assigned) - Note type: Categorization (notes,

Memo Edit screen:

Memos List screen: The drawing No., title (phenomenon), and user name (registrant) of memos registered in the entire drawing are displayed.

3.2. Browser setting #

In order to use the memo function in the Internet Explorer for the manual contents on the website, it is required to set the ActiveX and register a trusted site.

Setting of ActiveX in the Internet Explorer

1. Click [Tools] in the tool bar [Internet option] [Security]

2. Select [Trusted sites]. 3. Open sites in [Trusted sites] by

clicking [Sites].

4. Type in the URL of the “TSN Japan Site” and click [Add]. URL of “TSN Japan Site”: http://www.e-service.css.panasonic.co.jp

5. Click [Custom Level] to open [Security Setting].

6. [ActiveX Controls and Plug-ins] items Set [Prompt] or [Enable] in [Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safefor scripting]

Setting for Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox

For the browsers other than the Internet Explorer, data should be stored in the client’s machine using the Shared Object functions in Flash. For this purpose, the capacity setting should be set to unlimited in the local storage setting of Flash. 1. Mouse over the illustration display part of the content and show the context menu

of Flash by right-click.

Precautions - Deletion of files by the environment management tool (Cleaner etc.) can delete

the memo files. - It is required to set the capacity setting to [Unlimited] in the local storage setting

of Flash as above. Deletion of the cookie may cause memos not being able to be referred nor input as the capacity setting is stored in the cookie.

Memos cannot be shared with other users or among different environments (sites/PC) - Memos input by accessing the contents in the server and those input by

accessing the contents locally are processed differently. Therefore, those memos input in the server cannot be browsed locally even if they are downloaded to the local machine.

- Memos cannot be shared among different PCs even by the same user. - The memo information cannot be shared for other usages as it is stored in the

original format. Therefore there are no functions as introduced in [3.7. Sharing memos] and [3.8. Memo function's file management] of this Supplement version.

3.4. Preparations for the memo function

This section explains the preparations necessary to use the memo function and settings for the initial screen.

3.5. Registration, editing, and checking of memos

Activation of the memo function:

The button name has changed to [View Memo] and the memo function is ready to use. If there is information previously registered, the button name will change to

[Note] Although the warning message will appear as shown on the left-hand side, click [Yes] to proceed.

2. Click the right mouse button on the drawing No. for which you want to register a memo and then click [Memo] from the displayed menu.

Settings for initial screen [Memo setting]:The following [Memo setting] screen will appear when you use the memo function for the first time or no user has been registered. Set the user name and the destination folder to save (required).

This section explains how to register, edit, check, or delete memos.

User name (required): Use only single-byte alphanumeric characters (including @, _, and .).

Reset: (Only for the Internet Explorer)The destination folder to save memos set by a user returns to the default setting (C:\PanaXML\MyNote). Memos registered and attached files added under the displayed user name are copied to C:\PanaXML\MyNote.

Destination folder to save memos: (required) Default setting is available (Only for the Internet Explorer) Folders are automatically generated. Changing the destination folder to save memos, registered memos and attached files will be copied to the newly set folder. * Only information registered under the displayed user name will be copied and information registered under other user names will not be moved.

Registration of memos [Memo Edit]:

1. Click the right mouse button on the Ref. No. of the drawing or the line of the target part of the Parts List to show the context menu. Click [Memo] from the displayed context menu to display the [Memo Edit] screen.

2. Write (edit) a memo in the [Memo Edit] screen.

Title: Enter the problem phenomenon and its details.

Memo: Enter repair methods and know-how.

Note type: Select a note type from the pull-down menu.

Attached file: Click the [Browse] button to select and register the file to attach. Change the file name in the [Memo setting] screen and save the file in the designated destination folder.

Link URL: Register the URL of a reference website and establish a link to it.

Delete: Delete the memo.

Click the respective line of memos in the list to display the [Memo] screen.

1. Call up the [Memo] screen from the context menu or by clicking the [Memo exist] button.

3.3. Memo function button and menu display [Memo function] button and the context menu by the right-click can display whether there is a [Memo] or not as well as a list of memo screen (or memo screen).

Mouse over the drawing No. and display the context menu by right-click.

[Memo function] button display: Click the [Memo function] button to activate the memo function. The button name will be switched to [View Memo]. When there are memo(s) registered in the drawing, the button name will be changed to [View Memo exist].

3.6. Sharing memos (Only for the Internet Explorer)

3. New Functions for Diagram II / Parts List: Memo Function #

You can save and share more than one user memo in the same destination folder.

3.7. Memo function's file management (Only for the Internet Explorer)

This section gives details of the destination folder used to save memos and file management.

1. To save memos in the same destination folder as a different user, select the user name from the pull-down menu of the [User name] column or select [Add newly] to add and register a new user.

[FYI] You can also share memos with staff members of your organization by setting a common file server, etc. as the destination folder to save memos.

2. Enter the title and write a memo in the [Memo Edit] screen that will be displayed under the new user name.

* The memo is registered under the different user name in the [Memos List] screen as shown below.

Destination folders used to save memos and stored data: The [PanaXML] and [MyNote] folders will be automatically generated on Drive C as the default destination folders in which to save memos.

Enter the name of a new user.

Folder to save memos: (Folder name: [Order No.]) When memos are registered, the [Order No.] folder will be automatically generated in the folder designated on the [Memo Setting] screen. Memo XML data and attached files will be saved in this folder.

Memo data (XML): Memo data will be saved under the file name [user name+Order No.xml].

Attached file: Attached file(s) will be saved under the name [User name+Order No.+Block No.+Drawing No.+Name of attached file] in this folder.

When the memo function is activated: If there are file(s) linked to the displayed drawing, memos will be read from the file and displayed on the screen.

Saving of memos: Memos will be saved as memo files that will be generated in the folder designated in the [Memo Setting] screen.

Intake of the XML data of other users' memos

Other users' memo files shown below will be saved in the [Order No.] folder in the destination folder used to save memos. (Memo examples) Memo XML data ········userX+ABC1211012CJ.xml Attached file·············userX+ABC1211012CJ+001+C1100 memo.pdf

[Note] If there are memos saved under the same user name, data will be overwritten. When sharing memos, be careful not to use the same user name.

4. Search function for Diagram II / Parts List

4.1. Right mouse button's context menu

In the Diagram II Flash version, the following functions have been added to the right mouse button's context menu. -Search by Ref. No. -Printing of display range -Printing of entire range -Printing all drawing # Click the right mouse button on the drawing to display the menu as shown in the right-hand side.

4.2. Ref. No. search (Menu for right mouse button)

The Diagrams II menu has a Find Parts function, but in the Diagram II Flash version, the Ref. No. search function was added on right mouse button. 1. Click [Search by Ref. No.]

using the right mouse button. 2. Enter the Ref. No. and click

[OK].

Same refer number feed: Makes a sequential search of the same reference number. Displays the same reference numbers while feeding between Schematic Diagram and Print Circuit Boards.

The number of lines to be printed for the Parts List can be altered (the default has 62 lines). Check with print previews and alter the number of lines if the lower margin of the sheet requires it. - If the margin is too big:

increase the number of lines. - If the margin is too small:

decrease the number of lines.

5.1. Drawing print function (context menu via right mouse button)

1. Click either [Printing of display range], [Printing of entire range], and [Printing all drawing] #

from the context menu.

5. Diagram II /Parts List Print Function

The context menu displayed when clicking the right mouse button offers three types of drawing print functions. The [Printing all drawing] function is a new function featured in Supplement Ver. 2.0.

2. When the printing dialog box opens, select the desired printer, paper size, etc. and print the drawing.

5.2. Expanded print function #

In the Diagram II Flash version, you can print drawings and Parts Lists using the [Print] button in the top left menu of the screen.Drawings with high resolution data can be printed in [A3 Format]. The layout of the print setting screen is changed in the Supplement Ver. 2.0 in order to accommodate the multi browsing.

Print Target: You can choose to print both or either of the drawings and Parts Lists (refer to the [Print Preview] screen in the diagram below). - Drawing & Parts List: Drawings will be printed with Parts Lists in the

conventional low resolution. - Only Drawing (Letter or A3 format: #): Drawings will be printed in high

resolution as per the drawing data. Printing drawings in A3 format is possible.

- Only Parts List: Only Parts Lists will be printed.

Check the layout using the [Print Preview] screen and print the drawing.

You can choose groups of drawings to print using the pull-down menu, such as Schematic Diagram, Printed Circuit Board, Exploded View, etc.

You can enlarge the font size of the Parts List by 20% of the existing [Standard] by selecting [Large].

# Setting when printing by Google ChromeWhen printing by the Google Chrome, plug-ins setting and startup options (shortcut property) setting of the Google Chrome are necessary. Please refer to next page about the setting.

After selecting the printer, set the paper size to A3 using printer properties.

5.3. Print setting for Google Chrome (required setting when printing drawings only.) # Printing drawings when the Google Chrome is used.

- If the Flash Player originally contained in the Google Chrome is used, the printing data go through the Google Chrome print preview and are rasterized which results in low quality.

- When printing in the Google Chrome, it is necessary to install the Flash Player separately and change it by the plug-ins setting of the Google Chrome.

Download from the Adobe Flash Player download website.

- The plug-ins name or installed folders may be changed due to the difference in versions.

* Flash player in the Chrome folder is the originally contained one.

Flash player in the windows system folder is the newly installed one.

When the setting is complete, the printing data no longer go through the Google Chrome printing preview. Printer selection dialog is directly displayed which makes a high quality printing possible.

- It is possible that the content of the Adobe website changes - It is possible that the name of the downloaded file may be

changed depending on the versions.

Browsing and printing when the Google Chrome is used. (required setting when browsing the contents stored locally) - There is a limited access to local files in the Google Chrome. - It is necessary to make a file access available in the Google Chrome startup

options when browsing the contents stored locally.

5. Diagram II /Parts List Print Function

When using the originally contained Flash Player, the printing data are rasterized due to the preview function of the Chrome.

1. Access the Adobe Flash Player download website. http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

2. Click the [install now] button.

Flash Player Plug-ins Setting of Google Chrome:

Make the local file access possible in the Google Chrome startup options.

1. Startup the Google Chrome and type in [about:plugins] in the address bar.

2. A list of plug-ins is displayed. Click on the [Details] buttons on the top right.

3. Details of each plug-in are displayed. Among 2 Flash Players, disable only the one in the Chrome folder by [Disable].

4. Flash player originally contained in the Google Chrome is disabled and displayed in grey.

2. Display the property of the copied shortcut by right-click and add [ --allow-file-access-from-files] in the link.

Notice: Input one space before the double hyphens.

3. Drop the [index.html] from the contents folder into the Chrome started up from the copied shortcut.
