Animation, the company who createdthe characters for the TV spot also didthe special effects make-up for the"Hellraiser" movies? Of course youdidn't. That's why I'm here. Checkout the "sneak peeks" I managed toclick off between tea times.

His plan was to lure the Earthwarriors to compete in the Outworld,and then,win or lose, never to let them return. Convincedof this plan, Shao Kahn restored Tsung's youth.

SHAO KAIIlfMThe supreme ruler of theOutworld, Shao Kahn governs theAstral Planes of Shokan and allsurrounding kingdoms. Q: Which game is the movie based upon -- Mortal Kombat"or Mortal Kombat" II?

LX: The movie is based upon the entire Mortal Kombatlegend -- composed of both myths and facts -- and it willtake the audience into that world to reveal the entireMortal Kombat legend. That's what's so cool aboutthe movie.

Q: Which characters are in the movie?

LX: All of them, including Goro, Rayden, Sub-Zero, Sonya,Shang Tsung.

Q: Has anyone been cast yet?LX: Yes. So far we have Christopher Lambert as Rayden;

Linden Asby as Johnny Cage; Talisa Soto as Kitana;Robin Shou as Liu Kang; Cary Hiroyuki Tagawa asShang 'I'sung; Kathleen McClellan as Sonya Blade, andGoro as himself.

Q: Will the characters be able to execute all their specialmartial arts moves from the video games?

LX: Yes. It was important to us that the audience see thecharacters performing their moves. Those without martialarts backgrounds have been in intensive training formonths. The rest of the cast are accomplished martialartists as well as acrobats, so you'll definitely see allthe action.

Q: Did the developers of the arcade or video game haveany input in the movie?

LX: Without a doubt. We were trying to capture the veryessence of Mortal Kombat and translate that underlyingmystique onto the big screen. To do this, we needed andestablished a very close partnership with the developers.

Q: Where and when will the movie begin shooting.LX: We started shooting in August in Thailand -- a magnificent

setting and ideal back drop for the movie. "MortalKombat: The Movie" should be out in late spring orearly summer of 1995.

Q: Do you have a favorite character?

LX: I love them all, but if I had to pick one, it would be Goro.Wait until you see him in the movie; you would swearhe was real.
