5. How did you attract/address your target audience?

The target audience for our thriller was young female teenagers. To make sure that our target audience was addressed and attracted we did a numerous things;1. The film we created the opening to would be certificated as

a 15, for this we looked at the ‘BBFC’ guidelines on certificating films, (http://www.bbfc.co.uk/what-classification/15) so our film (including the opening credits) would be able to be in the 15 certificate, which is the age of our target audience, so they would be allowed to go and view the film in the cinema.

2. The protagonist of the film is girl of the age we are addressing, this allows the audience to be attracted to the movie, as it speaks to their age group, they are also more likely to be more effected by the film, as they can feel directly part of the film.

3. The target market is females, therefore the film is based around suspense and mystery rather than action and gore, this is more based around the tendencies of female teens.

As aforementioned with the main characters being of our target markets age and gender this makes it easier for the audience to relate themselves to the film.
