Respected Sir/Madam
Respectfully, it is stated that I am a student of Intermediate Part-I in your esteemed
institution. I am informed that my admission to the board has been stopped because
my lectures are short. Actually I have been suffering from typhoid fever for one
month. Initially, the doctor could not diagnose it but after some tests he advised me
complete bed rest for two weeks. I became very weak and lost much weight. Now I
have recovered from my illness but in that duration, I fell short of the required
lectures. I have already submitted my leave application along with my medical
certificate. I request you to send my admission because my academic record has
always been brilliant. I hope my request will be granted. Thank you in anticipation.
Yours truly,

Q6. Precis Writing:
The system of education in India today is devoid of any goal or ideal .It does not
satisfy the aspirations of the students .The result is that there is frustration which in
turns breeds indiscipline .There is so much of stress on examinations in these days
that the students sets the passing of the examination as his only goal but after he
passes the examination and goes to the wide world outside, he finds himself
unequipped to meet the demands of new age. The best system of education is one
which draws both on the present and the past. What we want today is a harmonious
blending of the best from heritage and the finest from modern science.
