AnalysisWhen I created my preliminary task I did not have much awareness in how to create a front cover of a magazine. My front cover for the preliminary task was quite colourful and had a huge variety of different colours such as red green blues and pink whereas on my music magazine cover I used minimal colours and the colours gelled well together.

What else I have learned is that:• You have to use the original image, not stretch images• Use a maximum of 4 colours• Have a consistency with the font type only use 3 different fronts• Image takes up the whole of the front cover• Image and colour of fonts match • Text not too large and covering the person on the front covers face• Bright colours on dark backgrounds are more eye-catching• The layout of images and text

AnalysisWhen I created the contents page for my preliminary task magazine I was not to sure on how the lay out should be were the title should be and how the contents page should be laid out and how many images should be on the front, I also did not know that their should be a consistency through the magazine cover and front page. When I created my music magazine I had done more research into eh layout of magazines and made mine look more professional and like an ideal magazine contents page.

What else I have learned is that:• Layout of images and texts• Font sizes which should be used• How many fonts should be used maximum of 2 • How many images should be used maximum of 5 (small images)• Layout of the contents within the magazine• The colour scheme should link to the front cover
