OracleHCM Experience DesignStudio
• Newsfeed and responsive user experience make it a breeze to roll out HCM functionality on mobile
• Person spotlight and transaction design make us become less reliance on page composer – “Page configurations” vs. “Page customizations”
• Transaction design makes it possible to tailor business flows based on business needs
• It sounds like the functionality will keep improving…excited for the ‘auto complete’ functionality in 2020!

changer!
Lessons learned
Design from the business process – the application is very robust with long list of quick actions. You may not have enough time to go through all of them with the client. Start by gathering a list of existing business processes, map them against quick actions and focus the design effort on what is relevant
Live & interactive design session is key – easiest way to get the design finalized is to build those rules live with clients…work through rules set-up together, then navigate to confirm results before publishing the sandbox
Don’t forget the documentation – capture your final design in details and include scripts to test quick action during major patches and upgrades
